Water powers verse idea/not necessarily canon to the verse
The Nokk reincarnates/resets itself as a little foal every several hundred years at random. Ahtohallan is fine with this, letting it do as it pleases, giving the adult horse the memories of it’s past life after it eventually finds its way back home. This one resets ends up going to Arendelle, outside the castle in the fjord. No one spots it, even if they look right at it. Well, except for one boy, no older than the Nokk (is four) with an adult whose skin is as dark as coal paying very close watch to him as he played with the water.
“My pony!” The boy said almost immediately, a gentle wave being sent to the Nokk. It sent a wave back, making the boy giggle. The man only assuming the boy is playing by himself in a game, smiling as he could see the boy point to him, “tha’ my ‘Atthias!”
Runeard eventually finds up, months later, and bans Agnarr from going to the back castle exit to the Fjord. He almost lets Matthias go from his position, causing Agnarr to cry for hours about it and Agnarr never sees the foal again, as it had returned to Ahtohallan for safety after Runeard started shooting into the water.
