Rectangular Birthday Box
I've folded a few rectangular paper boxes before - I even did one out of wrapping paper (though only the top half; I folded it to fit an open cardboard box 'bottom') for a present - though I prefer the square masu - they're also more stable!
(Though the rectangle ones the sizing takes less math - the finished box is precisely half the dimensions of the rectangle you start with.)
This one I decided to be a bit fancy with, though!
I had bought birthday candles for wax painting purposes. . . Well, a pack came along with this plastic piece designed to stick into the icing/cake.
So I folded this little box (to fit a little deck of cards, a game) and then I punched the spike 'legs' of the Happy Birthday emblem through the cardstock of the top . . . and then I burnt/melted them down like I do safety eyes. XD
(I'm sure it was totally fine, the burning plastic and spiral of black smoke. >.> I didn't breathe it and it was a tiny amount.)
It was fun, anyway!
