Musk’s wealth is tied up in Tesla stock, and as his wealth diminishes he is going to try and leverage exclusive deals with the federal government and control policies that directly and exclusively benefit Tesla.
The work done at the grassroots level targeting the source of Musk’s wealth (and by extension a significant part of the American Right’s power) will have to be sustained in the face of those setbacks. Even when the stock price rises again, we have to keep up the campaign against Musk, Trump, and their dangerous amount of unaccountable power.
