For the kiss game, #3 with Jasnah/Wit?
(kiss prompts here!)
#3. goodbye
Jasnah had always known that her relationship with Wit couldn’t last.
It wasn’t an assumption borne of pessimism, no matter what her mother thought. Wit wasn’t on Roshar because of her—he had priorities that far outweighed her in importance. And as old as he was, surely his time with her was nothing more than a blip in the story of his life. But still, she was taken by surprise when she found him in her quarters, dressed in one of his more practical outfits with a solemn expression on his face.
“Jasnah,” he said, and the smile he gave her didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Good. I did hope you’d be able to see me off.”
“Not staying on-world, then?” Wit rarely stayed where she was, in truth, but he did often tell her when he was leaving Roshar.
“Yes. And I’m afraid I don’t know if I’ll be back.”
If, Jasnah noted, and not when. She didn’t try to hide her disappointment. “I see.”
Wit stepped forward and reached up to cup her cheek, pressing his lips to hers. “It’s been a pleasure knowing you, Jasnah Kholin.”
Jasnah closed her eyes. “And you as well.”
And with that, he was gone. Another chapter of her life closed, just like that.
