Looks like Kenobi had multiple cracked ribs, a collapsed lung, broken arm, bruising nearly everywhere, a moderate concussion, and possible intraabdominal injuries.

It was the last point that made Stim’s heart sink. The lung he could deal with, the bruising wouldn’t kill him, and even the concussion wasn’t a major risk. The broken arm was less good, but again, not a threat to life.

Internal bleeding could be.

The second piece I did for the @obiwanwhumpminibang! This one is for the incredible @ihathbenobiwankenobied's fic the comforts that make us feel numb!!

Obi-Wan Kenobi gets kidnapped during a seemingly safe mission and finds himself in the unenviable position of trying to stay alive and protecting a youngling.

He mostly manages it.

A whump fic in which Obi-Wan suffers, a lot, makes a new friend and learns to live with life-changing results of torture.

He blinked open his eyes for a fuzzy white wall to greet him, his thoughts sluggish in a way they usually weren’t upon waking, trying to understand how he’d gone from a Senator’s apartment to wherever this was. It was the weight around his neck and his wrists that answered his unspoken question with considerable finality. He’d been kidnapped. If he hadn’t been impressed by the audacity, he’d be offended; this had to be at least the fourth time since the war began. Obi-Wan groaned softly as his vision swam before focusing, finding a dirty white wall, a durasteel door and a cam in the upper right corner pointed directly at him. Well, it was certainly atmospheric. As was the thin bedroll he’d been dumped on, lying on his bound hands in no more than his underclothes. His head throbbed as he lifted it from the pillow, pushing himself into a sitting position as best as he could without his hands, shuffling himself back to check the rest of the room. Perhaps ‘room’ was the wrong word; it was barely more than a cell. No windows, a door protected by a glowing red ray shield, a few instruments that were likely to torture, a stained blanket folded in the corner,  next to a bucket to relieve himself in.

Fighting for my life trying to balance fandom things with real life but we made it! My entry for the Obi-Wan Whump Mini-Bang! I partnered with @fromthemouthofzabe (Ao3) to illustrate a scene from their fic entry.

I've never tried to draw Grievous before! .............. It might be awhile before I try again! Actually he was very fun to draw but so very complicated haha

Summary:

After a desperate, drawn-out siege, Obi-Wan is forced to surrender to separatist forces in order to save what is left of his men. As a captive of General Grievous, Obi-Wan tries his best to keep his men safe – and his spirit intact.

SO EXCITED to draw for @grievingauthor’s fic, Glorify The Hunter! It was SO fun to work with you for the @obiwanwhumpminibang, the mythosaur skull we came up with is probably the coolest thing I’ve ever drawn.

And then Anakin looked—truly looked—and saw that he was.

His face had paled to ash, silver tear tracks alighting like the first rain on a planet’s surface after heavy bombardment.

And then he faltered, and years of instinct had Anakin abandoning all his anger and rushing forward to catch him before he could hit the ground.

“Master?” Anakin croaked, hugging him close and trying not to panic.

He remembered once, many years ago, in a class with a Jedi master he couldn’t remember the name of, learning about birds. Their bones were hollow to make them lighter, so they could fly.

Obi Wan felt like that now, hollow boned and light. But Obi Wan, who had no feathers, no wings, just hollow bones, could not fly. He fell instead, to lay limp in Anakin’s arms like a bird’s skeleton long after its body, feathers and all, had been claimed by nature.

ELECTRIC HEART BEAT

A little altered missing part of what happened after Obi-Wan and his master faced Maul in Naboo. When master Qui-Gon dies the training bond between him and Obi-Wan snaps, leaving the young Jedi struggling and trying to be a responsible adult, while trying to care for a hurt and confused pre-teen who is missing his mother, home and friends and trying to adapt into a very different situation neither of them could have ever imagined. Obi-Wan tries his best, but he's afraid that it will not be enough. Not especially since the cut bond has unwelcome side effects nobody expected to happen.
