when they’re working like for wicked pre-maze, they are the Ultimate Gal Pals and theyre obviously just so fuckin gay but they always just day to people: “oh no we’re just best friends!” and it works bc theyre girls

using telepathy?? all the time????

using the fact that they get to share a room at wicked to their advantage

thomas and aris literally being SO oblivious to their relationship

distracting each other from the brutality of the trials themselves by telling each other everything they remember from back home

comforting each other after a particularly hard day watching the gladers

promising that they’ll never forget each other once they go through the swipe

rachel going up first, with thomas, and teresa feeling like she just got shot in the chest

teresa promising rachel that she and aris are right after her and thomas, and that theyre going to trigger the ending and get them the hell out of there

fast forward to the scorch, when teresa is with aris, and he talks about his best friend rachel and how they killed her teresa feels some ping of familiarity but she just can’t place it

then she gets her memories back back at wicked, and she remembers what aris said about rachel and her entire heart just rips in two ●︿●

when the ceiling falls down on teresa, seconds away from making it to paradise, she thinks that its for the better, and it wouldnt have been paradise without rachel (╥_╥)

• Rachel and Thomas are so alike, impulsive and stubborn and driven. It leads to them clashing over silly things and becoming an exhausting duo to take on. It leads to long winded debates over proper cereal eating etiquette and silly, energetic make out sessions filled with lots of touches and laughter

• they constantly have too much stuff and not enough stuff in their fridge. At any given point all four will think that someone else is buying spaghetti sauce while nobody really is and at any given time Aris and Thomas and Teresa are all separately buying a gallon of milk while Rachel on a whim decides a jug of chocolate milk would be a nice change of pace

• they make a shopping list that is never used

• if they’re fighting it usually means Rachel and Thomas are arguing over nothing serious like its the next world war, or Thomas and Aris are being brats to each other, saying hateful things that cut deep but that’s rare and they always make up. Teresa rarely gets into disagreements with any of them, bc she’s scary when mad and they try to keep her happy

• someone is always getting their hair played with. Always. Rachel and teresa and Aris have teased Thomas about growing his out so they can style it, but he refuses

• they do not have an actual set of dishes. Each one just brought their own plates and bowls and cups to the relationship and their cupboards are filled with a variety of colors and styles and its lively and warm much like they are

• Thomas and Rachel are really good at stealing the first shower, using most of the hot water as they sing crazy duets and odd renditions of their favorite songs, have a far too competitive soap fight for how small their shower is, and still manage to somehow both forget to shave

• Aris loves sleep and is the last one to get up, so he sleeps in the middle most nights.
