Yea I finished inktober on time
I love in person games
But by the Gods, I just don't know how long I can keep going with the Rogue at our table, it's been 2 years now of this game, and he still doesn't grasp that being a player means you're not telling the GM what is happening in the game.
He also wanted to drop his Relationship with The Prince of Shadows, get some kind of boon from him, and then drop it. But have some big powerful thing.
Problem is, my character shares a soul with The Prince of Shadows, it's their Unique thing, so the GM said "No, he's not in the habit of giving things away, if you drop him every time Terach rolls a 5 or 6, you're going to get complications."
Which I was like "Fuck, can I drop an Icon? I want that hindrance?!" and the Rogue is like "I'm going to think about it."
I know it's not everyone's jam, but that would be fun as fuck to RP with, Fridays we have a player who is so excited to hinder himself, and it is the funnest game I'm in with others. I love it, I've opened up to gimping myself because of it, and in this game I'm already hindered so much because I don't know what I am going to do at any time until right before my turn.
He also keeps calling it DnD, and trying to use DnD comic/meme lingo that doesn't necessarily understand the difference.
Though watching him get hindered (mechanically) and be unable to do any of his rogue abilities because he can't shake it, was not fun at all, because he went so much into throwing a fit because he couldn't use his abilities after a stupid decision.
We're doing a small beach episode type thing for a year of downtime, and he's got this really "I'm so important, the Elf Queen is personally demeaning him in front of the court" and I'm so lost on all this, I am trying not to laugh about it. He's officially 'The Elf Queen's best man" and it is so edgy, and I am hoping this is the last edgy char he makes for our games, because he's upset the Druid and I, and briefly the Ranger, were always such good friends, but he literally pushes us all away when we tried, so we all gave up, and now he's mad about it.
I am curious about the druid's year of story, because trying to become a Dragon Druid, against his mother's (High Druid) wishes, and that sounds fun.
I am planning to rob a ship we were told about, by a man who hired us, and then I suppose I'm going to be going out doing shenanigans, and having a great time.
We have 3 levels/adventures left for these chars, and I will miss Terach so much, but I look forward to what we have in the next game we play.
Osi did a picture! And it's awesome! Terach has this framed and hanging in his hovel. This and a string of garlic are all he has hanging on the walls. That's just how he rolls.
GO BUY OSI'S ART!
i love you and your oc
Thank you! Terach is an amazing guy. I'll eventually put up his back story, but first I have to decide if I want him to live in historical times or another world based on dark-ages Italy. Either way, how he came about his job stays the same.
