shouto fuyuki. his eye was burned when he chased a palico kitten into the kitchens and a hot dish fell onto his face while climbing a stool. he typically covers it with a red paint mark his sister taught him. his mother fled an abusive husband to the new world and became the 7th fleet’s sapphire star. expectations put on his own hunting career were high. retired after it became apparent that he wasn’t performing at his best and he had to be saved by someone else. he decided to take time off and joined the research commission as an elder dragon specialist. a reserve hunter should the need arise. tsuyu asui. pukei-pukei enthusiast and piscine expert, she almost never visits seliana save for special occasions as she much prefers warmer locales. more devoted to researching endemic life than the hunt, she’s one of the highest ranked hunters in astera but doesn’t feel the need for master ranking (in part because she’d have to spend ample time in seliana) though its clear she has the skill. known for possessing at least one of every gecko. momo yaoyorozu. heir to old world merchant family, came to the new world with the 7th fleet to expand, where she met shouto. a capture specialist, has since become a a base hunter, overseeing the dragonator canons and base defenses, always making improvements. known for mastering all weapons types, the hunter’s school is constantly trying to poach her from the commission to no avail.

tenya iida. from a hunter family that can trace its lineage as far back as the fall of shrade kingdom. as is customary for their family, he wears face paint that’s said to resemble the armor from that forgotten era. his brother was nearly killed by an acidic glavenus and tenya went after it while still a student of the hunter’s school. while official reports remain unclear, his survival is no doubt a miracle and a humbling experience. typically forms a pair or team with others and fills the role of tank defense and support.
