I got an offer for a tenure track assistant prof job at my dream school. This girl, who was told she would have to reach for her choice of college in high school...is now going to be a professor at an Ivy league school. Even better, it allows my husband to work in the city he loves and lets me be close to my family who mean the world to me.Â
I AM SO GODDAMN EXCITED!!!Â

Grad Life Updates
Hi Tumblr! Long time no post!
In the last month I prepped for interviews, interviewed at 20 schools (for tenure track jobs) and have started hearing back about campus visits (last round of interviews). Very excited that (so far) I have visits at my top 5 favorite choices and I am so excited for whatever happens next (except the prep...this is not exciting).
It’s a real joy seeing how four years have paid off and I am so excited to hopefully get a job at one of these amazing schools. This week to celebrate a break, I have my bachelorette weekend and I am so excited to see the friends I’ve neglected in the quest to prep for interviews. Feeling really proud and grateful for everyone and everything right now. Just wanted to send good vibes into the internet.

My research has even gotten picked up by a national news organization! My new school has been super at promoting my work and keeps highlighting it on their site. I’m so excited to be starting my job so strongly. I just hope they don’t expect me to keep this pace as that’s just not going to happen....
