if youre still taking numbers asks! how bout 7?
Number 7 is Temmin! His full name is Temmin Akhile and he’s a 12-13 sweep Olive. He’s got plenty of nicknames, most of them reluctantly received, though the most commonly used one tends to be Temmy. He absolutely did not ask to be called Temmy. Temmin is one of those people that initially seem very uptight, but the more you get to know him, the more you realize he’s....really not. He’s got a bit of a strong, silent, stoic type thing about him. Doesn’t usually talk much, or when he does, he comes off as a bit blunt, a bit abrasive, and just sort of clipped. He also is often a little stiff-sounding and very serious at first glance.
He’s not intentionally mean, he’s genuinely just really awkward and shy. He’s a bit of an awkward turtle and typically finds that people are nice and all, but they’re hard to handle and harder to understand. Big crowds are overwhelming, new situations are overwhelming, and being in situations that require all the right words or else? Yeah no thanks. He’s the kind of guy that would rather be left to his work, because machines and technology and his work just all make so much more sense. Even at the most unpredictable, his work at least has its rules and a set method to figure out what’s wrong or what is malfunctioning or what can be improved.
Because of this, his business partner is more than happy to let him handle the “back of house” affairs and paperwork while he deals with the people, and Temmin is more than happy with that arrangement. It works for both of them. His business partner, Ikkira, is a very dramatic people-person with a bit of a silver tongue, and he thrives where Temmin doesn’t. Temmin very gladly will take stability, routine, and what some would consider monotony while Ikkira adapts to new situations.
As for his relationship to Ikkira and his business....Temmin is an inventor. He and Ikkira started their venture into the world of creating weapons and armor a few sweeps back. Temmin tends towards defensive devices, like shields and armor, while Ikkira takes on the more offensive type of creations. Their business, AV Industry, is doing fairly well. It’s hardly widespread, but anyone particularly enthusiastic about the weapons industry would know who they are. They’re a growing enterprise, little by little.
Despite Temmin seeming quite serious and a touch uptight at first glance, he’s a lot more relaxed than people would initially think. He is most definitely a workaholic, but he’s someone that works at a constant, steady pace. He’s always busy, but allows himself to smell the flowers once in a while. He is awkward, shy, and honestly pretty dorky. He’s also secretly quite the romantic.Â
Temmin is....quite frankly, very lonely. His main companion in the world is Ikkira, and the same is largely true of Ikkira himself. The pair function much like an unofficial moirallegiance. What Temmin really wants is more friends, romantic partners to take care of. He’s very doting, and quite the mother hen, but he finds there are few people around him he can actually do anything for. He definitely mother hens Ikkira, and while its appreciated, it also periodically gets him swatted away. What he desperately, desperately wants is to not only have more trolls in his life, but to have romantic partners. A domestic sort of life is the kind of thing he daydreams about.
He technically has a mutation, which is that his skin is nigh impervious to....almost anything. There are exceptions, but he is extremely durable and very resilient. He’s able to take a lot more damage than most. It’s this mutation that led him to, unknowingly, take on the name of his ancestor, Champion Ironskin, when he was much younger and still FLARPed.Â
Temmin has a sort of surprising stance on the hemospectrum and the Alternian empire, especially for someone whose company is in the process of striking a deal with the Fleet so that they can remain planet-side and continue to work. His view is that he absolutely despises it. He’ll never tell, he keeps his mouth shut. Only the closest and most trusted people know how much quiet rage has been built up regarding the Empire and the system. He finds using lowbloods as cannon fodder despicable, he finds conscription deplorable, what the Fleet actually does is atrocious, and the fact they’ll kidnap trolls, usually goldbloods, with powerful psionics as batteries? Awful. He keeps his mouth shut about his views, but this works in multiple ways. If he sees rebel activity? He’ll turn a blind eye. Sees someone in need? He’ll never say a word, but he’ll leave a box of something they need out within their view for them. He’s one particularly bad day from harboring mutants and hemorebels, and he’s certainly not deterred by Ikkira, who has a far more direct approach in his own distaste.
He’s not a character that I have much planned for, admittedly. He began as a background character for Ikkira that very quickly became his own fully-fledged entity. His job allows for potential interactions and connections though, even with Ikkira often serving as the face. Many people want to meet the A in AV Industry, after all. He’s also often prodded by Ikkira to take more breaks now and then, given his tendency to get very wrapped up in his work, and get out more and meet people. So awkward social situations are definitely on the table.
He also currently has a potential plotted matesprite in Ramiel, who belongs to the lovely @roleplayfawn, though more friends and relationships are always welcome.
