“Oh, sorry, I’m not actually an alien. I get that a lot, though.” Sunflower gave him a warm smile in the hopes of diffusing the awkward situation. “Guess it’s to be expected when ya look like this.”

@teletruth found a dog
A golden retriever, to be exact. Sniffing at the ground, then raising his head when he sees Andy and trotting over to him. He’s a beautiful dog, really, clearly well cared for and loved. But the most interesting thing is that he’s wearing a red service dog’s jacket. His leash trails behind him, untethered to any person.
The dog does not bark, instead going up to Andy and lightly nudging his leg with his snout, seemingly trying to guide him in the direction he’d come.
@teletruth cont. from x.
Muted grunts pause as the boy glanced up, ambitious attempts to drag what seemed to be his own weight (if not more) in kindling and branches behind him stopping as well. Admittedly, it was a fair question. One of his size or stature didn’t give the immediate implication of survival expertise. And yet- ... And yet.
Dropping his bundle, Mono shuffled around to look about as well- numb hands slipping under his mask to warm up. Ideally, he’d pick an area far from sight and out of reach....But the chances of his impromptu companion being able to fit in such a place seemed slim, so...the open would have to do. Oddly, he felt safer doing so now that he was in the company of someone much bigger.
“Mm-”
Pink fingers pointed out across the clearing, closer to the treeline. Flat, but a bit more covered. Honestly, he just wanted out of the wind. Picking his bundle back up (perhaps hugging would be a more apt descriptor? He really did need his whole arms width to manage it-), Mono dug his heels back into the frosted earth and continued to trudge ahead.
“There.”

Rare, are the moments that Mono would dare make himself known in this fashion, and rarer still would he speak. Yet something about how startlingly human this stranger was coaxed the boy out from hiding, coming to sit a little ways away. He tenses as the man's looming hand draws near, but instinct telling him to run is wrestled down in favour of tentative trust. The man's ramblings held no malice, surely he could risk such close company..?
...the resulting scream however earned a startled cry from Mono as well, the child leaping to his feet with a frantic kick. Is he real- DID THIS MAN NOT REALIZE THAT-?
Fist gripping the front of his own shirt, the boy bent over with a wheeze as tiny lungs attempted to catch up with a startled heart. However not at all hindered was the look shot Andy's way, confused (and perhaps accusatory?) alarm palpable through cutout eyes.
No vocal answer sounded out this time, however wild gestures from the child seemed to convey an incredulous 'how could he NOT be real' fairly well all the same.
Give him a heart attack, will you-?

“not working again, is it?” the popcorn machine, he meant — an older one in the theater’s hallway. “it’s a bit dodgy sometimes. have you tried kicking it?”

‘ i’m 99% certain that the dudes runnin’ that coffee shop are, like, fae or some shit. you ever been there? they just... have that vibe, y’know? ’
@teletruth ASKED: || “ "i really think you need to talk about... this." he motions to the room around them, trying not to look too long at anything. he wasn't sure if he wanted to read what was on those posters. ”
“ Okay? Talk about... what, exactly? ” His mirrors take a quick moment to follow their hand’s trajectory and look around the room as he shrugs his nonchalant and pristine hands. Everything seemed in place to him. There’s the wall with the example pictures, made from a misshapen and directionless collage of different facial features cut out from what appear to be the same magazines in the overstuffed book rack based on the material of the paper. And there’s the wall with the posters he had made. Just a few ad slogans, nothing unlike you’d see all over the clinic. ‘Slip out of your skin and into mine!' and 'Defy nature, become god.’ being amongst the cutest, in his opinion. They’re a little dated to be fair- he can never decide on a slogan for longer than a month or so. And then on this wall there’s just some chairs.... “ Hey, I get it-- a lot of people have a fear of clinical spaces... but... ” He chuckles. “ This is just my waiting room, pal. I-I’m worried you get anymore stressed and I’ll have to give you a face-lift! Ah-hah-hah! ” That laugh may have been distressingly sharp. Not sharp as in abrasive. Sharp like... cutting. Like audio played too close over another clip.
“Sorry to intrude. This rain came out of nowhere.”
...How had this stranger managed to entire his cabin? It should have been near impossible thanks to the forest’s maze like design and the vines that threw those who got lost out. Plus as far as the bird beast could tell, this person didn’t...seem to be a hunter. He was tempted to shoot a glare at the stranger, to shout for him to get out.
Yet, the rain seemed to fall rather hard. The rain was something that always calmed the mage down.
“...Fine.” This was fine, It was only until the rain let up, right? The mage’s feathers were slightly fluffed up.
The bird beast would have no issues kicking the human out if he ended up being a problem.
