teleseidon headcanons

the original, and eternal, headcanon: they're very much in love. (genuinely, i don't think i've ever thought of them or written them as anything except infatuated with each other, and i doubt i ever will. they are in love, your honor- they come as a set; do not separate, please and thanks.)

poseidon has a bigger sweet tooth than telemachus, but he indulges it less frequently.

along this same wavelength, poseidon is the partner that will claim to not be hungry and not want anything but eat half of telemachus' food. (telemachus feeds him half and plans accordingly, anyway, because offerings, but he thinks it's hilarious, regardless.)

they don't spoon when they sleep together very frequently because poseidon is quite heavy and cold (and he does not want to wake up to a squashed telesicle), but instead they'll hold hands or telemachus will sleep with his head on poseidon's chest so that he can roll away at any moment if the chill becomes too much.

i love making telemachus obsessed with the sea even before they meet. that obsession then translates over to the god of the sea itself, and telemachus has zero complaints. (someone once commented on one of my fics about telemachus being a disney princess, and i fully accept that because he's definitely giving moana energy in my mind.)

in addition to this, they absolutely fall in love at first sight. it's instant. there's a shift in the air. telemachus just knows. and poseidon just decides that, yes, that one- he wants that one. (sometimes he doesn't know that he's fallen, but he definitely has lol)

along the same moana thought line, poseidon manipulates the sea on the same beach that telemachus frequents just to say hello to him or spend time. whenever he can't be physically there, telemachus can find his essence in the waves on that one specific beach on the coast of ithaca. (it is the same beach telemachus' rooms face in my fics. hardly anyone else goes there because it's right by the palace, and no one wants to tread to close insolently.)

neither one of them is a fan of pda, but, insanely, they will absolutely get it on in a public space (although not with anyone else around). their favorite place is their beach (yes, the beach is theirs; they own it now lol)

poseidon is protective; telemachus is possessive. very important distinction.

modern teleseidon have a farm. idk. it just works for them. it's a personal farm, though, and they don't sell anything, but they will have one of those stands at the front of their farm where people are free to take any of their excess produce, etc. it's right by the beach, too, and they have lots of horses and livestock.)

the horses for their farm are telemachus' idea. they're almost always still in ithaca when i think of modern teleseidon, and ithaca is not built for horses, but telemachus figures that since they're by the beach and it's mostly flatland around there, they should absolutely have some, and poseidon is all too happy to provide.

they're both introverts which works out rather well for them. neither of them actually have the energy to deal with their families.

telemachus likes zeus and hates hermes. poseidon thinks it's hilarious, and hermes is severely despondent about it (rip bud)

telemachus collects gods like pokemon, but poseidon is his absolute favorite. (he'll never admit it, though, because athena's still his bestie)

telemachus has a complex about resembling odysseus too much, so poseidon plays up his hatred for odysseus in front of telemachus just to make him feel better because he obviously wouldn't be with someone that reminds him of someone he hates. (it works like a charm.)

both of them value actions more than words, so most of their serious moments are entirely non-verbal and all of their affections are expressed through physicality and hardly ever spoken out loud.

poseidon doesn't much like being worshipped as a deity in a relationship, so telemachus finds other ways to worship him instead.

telemachus has the gruffest morning voice ever, and poseidon has a personal favorite pastime of getting him to talk as soon as he wakes up so that he can hear it. he's just a little bit obsessed with it. (somehow, telemachus never really notices that lol)

both of their love languages are quality time, and they can, have, and will spend hours in each others presence without growing the least bit tired or needing space- always with intention, always in the present, always with each other.

poseidon gets telemachus a dog because telemachus mentions argos to him a few times. (modern teleseidon have him as a working dog on the farm. he's a very good boy.) it is a sheepdog because it represents them hahaha

When he visits Ithaca for his revenge, he sees a mortal that looks so much like Odysseus but he knows it’s not him. The mortal introduced himself as Telemachus and then he showed Poseidon around Ithaca. He showed the new temple the previous king made to honor and to apologise to Poseidon, he had the sea god, now disguised as a human, try different Ithacan delicacies and they had a peaceful day overall.

Just curious.

I know there aren’t a lot of seaprince shippers in the community but why not ask. The reason I’m asking is because I’m not sure if I want to commit to this considering I’m fairly new to writing (despite how much I love to read and consume media) so I want to see if it’s worth the time. It probably won’t be for a while though because 1: the Hollow Knight/Silksong brainrot is going strong and 2: I want to get back into the flow of writing with one shots/smaller fics first so I don’t overwhelm myself.

Idk if there would be any smut as of right now but I’m still deciding. Despite the fact that I do read smut I don’t know if I’m comfortable writing it. Idk if that makes sense or not but that’s just how I am lol

and yall can ask me about it if you want, I have a good amount of ideas for what I want to happen but it’s a rough concept as of right now I haven’t even outlined it
