#tech weekend

(In case you’re uncultured, tech is the weekend before the performance in which everything that hasn’t been done yet gets done)

“when ever I go on airplanes, that’s when the spotlight really hits me”

*the PSA from the last musical goes off* *everyone starts singing*

“everyone find your buddy!” “I don’t have one!”

“Troy! you have a basketball game tomorrow!”

“we’re going to run the sound cues because there’s a lot of “buzz buzz, bitch” in there”

“katie needs to be princess, okay!” *proceeds to shout at actors through the megaphone*

“wait I don’t have a prop. wait. do I need a prop?”

“in start of steading word war three”

“can I have y'all scene change please”

*main character walks onstage with her hoodie pulled as tightly closed as possible while still being able to talk*

*everyone starts clapping and dancing and singing “we’re all in this together” for no discernible reason*

*random thud backstage* “what was that”

“try to be a little more heterosexual” “imagine me that way”

katie: “could someone have katie ask- aaaghguhgh”

*in a german accent* “quick! with speed! and grace! and agility!”

Today was the second day of tech and it was a long ass day but having friends to text totally helps. I learned a lot about light board and this shows pretty snazzy.

My favorite part was the huge cuddle puddle during tech notes with my two best gay friends. At least a half hour of spooning with Connor was just what I needed.
