Instead of Robert just wanting a wife *just cos*, it’s actually a replacement for juliette

Juliette, after going rogue and attempting to kill Robert, fled the cybermansion for good. Robert couldn’t find juliette, his assistant, so he decides, well shit, better get a new one

Thing is, Juliette took him like, ten years to build or whatever. though AI was more advanced in the future it still hadn’t really broken that point of being, like, way too human like. to the point of being fully self aware and being independent of someone. Juliette is essentially a supercomputer compacted into a 7 ft metal frame, although pretty thin. like it’s crazy.

instead of being in the same universe as redsdale/all my other human/modern day ocs, bear me out- it’s in an alternative universe where JFK never died, and the US and USSR combined space programs. later through some convoluted bullshit they’d become one large nation and start taking over smaller countries. in the space program, aliens are discovered, AIs are created, y’all know how it kinda went. The reason why the universe has such a 50s/60s influence is because that’s the era when the two nations were going through their golden age or something like that

Juliette also wasn’t made pre-war cos it didn’t make any sense. she was instead built by the Council and was supposed to be the world’s first unrestricted AI (meaning, she has more free will than the others (remember margaret and co. can be reset by the press of a button, and are still under the councilmembers’ total influence). however due to a bug in her system, and her just overall being more intelligent and high tech than any man or machine, she decides to escape and in the process tries to assassinate Robert (since he’s her creator and was in the way/too involved). plan to kill him fails, she escapes anyway tho. her revenge plot is to basically kill him, setting the robots free from their control, and fleeing to the now abandoned Martian colony

 Before and during the war Juliette never had visible wires and metal plates n shit so she could pass as a hybrid. She was in the same explosion as Robert but wasn’t injured as badly... still, she had to put on those metal plates and extra screws since there were patches on her body that were exposed

 Younger Robert was one cheeky-ass motherfucker, he was really naive and trusted pretty much anyone he met. He was impulsive and didn’t think a lot. He isn’t as much as he is now, currently in the story, but there’s still times where he doesn’t think bc of selfish reasons (like Margaret and resetting her AI all the time, causing her to have severe memory issues)

-juliette never used to have those darker blue metal plates on her, she got those while in the war after the bomb that went off. she wasn’t hurt as bad as robert but there were places she had to cover up or her wires would be exposed. before that she just used to look like she had blue skin which was how she was able to pass as a hybrid in the army

-before ANDROMEDA, cosma, musa, and grace all wore similar outfits to Gerald and Geraldine (suits, kind of). only cosma’s was pink (she worked under Robert), and Musa and Grace’s were blue (they were under Cynthanna)

-the hybrid kids have all modified their techsuits as a sign of rebellion against the Council

-because of Global warming, Redsdale is completely submerged in water. so is almost all of Europe; the parts that didnt sink just got put into Asia

heres some more dumb oc ramblings, idk if anyone really cares abt the lore here but eh

juliette, while long covered up (and actually forgotten) by the government, played a large role in creating the tech for the future. the outfit she wears now is a “beta” tech suit- so while it isn’t exactly like the current ones, it serves the same purpose and has pretty much the same functions as them

tech suits are meant to be a versatile piece of clothing that all the lower class wears. The suit is weather proof and heat resistant, and repels any dirt/germs so it doesn’t really ever have to be washed. The fabric it’s made out of keeps people cool in the summer, but warm in the winter. There’s shoes built into it so there’s no need to wear any over it. It is mandatory to wear a tech suit if you are part of the lower class.

 The hexagon on the suit is actually a chip; it’s a way to identify people with. Depending on the region, the chip is a different color (ie if you live in the region the Chromes control, the chip is red). Robots are a lot different outside the cybermansion; while Councilmemeber bots act like any other part of the upper class society and/or are the entertainment, bots int he lower class areas are either law enforcers or are very very old Era IIs. If someone were to break the law, a police bot can quickly scan the chip and identify them or their fingerprints.

juliette was in the army with robert and his brother (whom im calling nathan let’s say

how/why juliette got in the army i’m not sure quite yet but she was able to pass as being a hybrid (her “robot parts” are mostly concealed)

she was good friends with nathan especially since he was really interested in how she worked (robots were mass produced but they were era IIs which were much simpler than juliette) because reminder, he was an inventor and wanted to be a roboticist had he not been drafted in the army

juliette met robert as well but they didnt get along, he suspected she wasnt what she seemed and juliette disliked robert because she saw him as gullible and naive. they didnt hate each other though

 nathan was able to fix what was left of her glitches in her programming (remember: juliette wasn’t completed when she went rogue, she was still prone to “crashes” (ie she would freeze in place from time to time, she would have short term memory loss sometimes.... not as bad as other bots but enough to annoy her. if this went untreated she would eventually get the crashes really bad and essentially die))

he was *almost* completed with his work, until he died in the bombing. this was the same bombing that robert lost half his face and his forearm in

robert thought juliette had died as well, so he never gave much thought to her after that

years later when robert changed his last name to chrome and became part of the Council, juliette knew that was him. she became angry due to knowing the inventions he was mass producing and passing off as his own were actually nathan’s. she needed that tech to complete her programming once and for all, or the crashes would come back and become more severe
