HI GUYS
I’m working on my Tech Class for this coming year and Boy-Howdy am I EXCITED.
First of all, my headmaster finally got my point that like...yeah, in 9th and 10th grade i’d love to do advanced spreadsheets and coding and fun shit like that but uuuhhh see, these kids i’m getting? Don’t know what a fucking flash drive is. He finally admitted that like...we gonna have to spend the first semester crash-coursing these kids into technology. (yeah, i know, most 9th and 10th graders know this stuff. We’re talking rather sheltered and/or low SES kids here...)
Second of all...I GET TO TALK TO THEM ABOUT INTERNET SAFETY. Idk why but I’m excited about this. I think because I have a decent rapport with a lot of these kids (or a decent reputation) and I am pretty sure they will be willing to listen to me. Like...can we imagine how awful and boring and annoying it is to be taught internet safety by adults who don’t know what the fuck is up? Like...kids, I grew up with this stuff. The internet and I, we grew up together. We friends.
IDK. I’m just excited to get to sit down with these kids and have some real conversations about this stuff. Maybe its because I usually teach subjects (math math math) that have them going WHY DO I HAVE TO KNOW THIS...this class is going to be a treat because its relevant.
Anyhow. Sorry, I just got excited there for a minute.
(okay, also, i’m kind excited for the weird looks i’m gonna get when they see how fast i can type and also the fact that i can type while not looking anywhere near my keyboard.)

A big thank you to California STEAM Symposium for having the Wolfpack at this annual event! It was great meeting and talking to educators that are excited about incorporating 3D Printing into classrooms. Until next year!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Halloween at Corona Del Mar High School. Students 3D printed spooky pumpkins on their AXIOM.
