People are people

No matter how they identify

People are people

The best you can do is be an ally

Because trans women are women

And trans men are men

Some are non-binary

And identify as ‘them’

People are people

No matter who they like

Some may say they’re different

But in the end we’re all alike

Because boys who like boys

Are as valid as any

And girls who like girls

Are just some of many

Though people who like both

Are often misunderstood

They’re still just as real

As your own flesh and blood

There are those who like neither

Which some say is strange

But they are still people

And they still remain

And if you are a person

Who likes anyone

then you deserve to live here

and you deserve to have fun

Because people are people

No matter how they identify

And all I’m asking of you

Is for you to just try

To accept them for them

Flowers are there to provide happiness

To make your home a better and more welcoming place

But have you ever thought that the flower may feel too?

That maybe you’re missing the flowery tears running down its face

You cut it from its home and rip off its petals

Yet the flower still remains blooming brightly

Inside the glass cage it nestles 

You never ask how the flower feels though

Never thought maybe it doesn’t want to wither

That maybe it does feel pain

Maybe it feels every time you pull off a petal

And every time it neglects to rain

Maybe flowers do feel pain

And you’re just not seeing it

The silky smooth chocolate

Runs down my throat

It feels so amazing

But I start to choke

To choke on the sweetness

And choke on the bitter

The bitter that haunts me

i’m going to destroy you
