@tearaparts: there's blood and ... stuff ... everywhere. (michael for ollie)
well said / accepting
There's a brief nod as she watches him. "There is." She's calm, all things considered. Everything's at risk of falling apart with Michael piecing together what she is, yes. She hadn't meant for him to come across her clean up. But there's still a steadfast confidence that he'll understand: she only needs him to see it her way. And if he doesn't...well, she could always make him forget what he saw. "Things got...messier than usual." She half raises her hands in surrender. It happens.
"He was trying to put something in someone's drink so I...handled it." He was a piece of shit and she was hungry. Win-win.
@tearaparts: “You looked in need of saving.” from van
svb.igth episode five / accepting
"No, I was actually...pretty good," Rachel answers, although looking around, she can see why Van might have thought that. Rachel herself isn't dressed in the group's signature purple, but she had been surrounded by people who were, all asking questions, marveling at the now re-covered shoulder tattoo of an all-too-familiar symbol. People looking for crumbs of the connection their leader promoted and finding it in Rachel's stories of dreams and intuition and about how her mother knew Charlotte. In return, Rachel can't help but feel somewhat seen, believed. It hasn't ever been that common in her life.
"They're not bad people. Maybe a bit...enthusiastic, but they're okay."
@tearaparts: “That’s the secret to a healthy adulthood.” from haymitch. do NOT listen
svb.igth episode 1 / accepting
"Mm, which part? The child death match or the drinking?" Still, she raises her own drink up in a mock cheers before taking a large sip. It's all jokes, but in reality, she couldn't exactly say what a healthy adulthood was supposed to be. A mother who was dead before Rachel knew her, a traumatized and paranoid father who shut her away from the world, the prying eyes of the Capitol at large. Arguably, the most well-adjusted people she had seen had been the Cunninghams, and...well look how that went. Though, she had definitely outmatched them in instability.
@tearaparts: “Maybe I was there for a reason.” from michael. lord

"That doesn't mean it's a good one." Whether it's a sick twist of fate or a more devious plan at play, Rachel isn't confident it will go the way Michael seems to be hoping. She's an anxious person, yes, but she's not without reasons to be on edge. Especially as he recounts his first night on the boardwalk and the people he met.
"You went looking for danger and you found it. Now you need to be very, very careful how you handle it."

@tearaparts: “I do sort of feel like I’m having déjà vu, but… not the good kind.” from michael
svb.igth episode 1 / accepting
Rachel takes a deep breath and lets it out as a sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Yeah, you and me both." It's hard not to see the kid and think of her own turning, to be dragged back to the trauma of her wedding week and what she's endured since then. Still, she tries to stay grounded in what's happening now. She's past help, but she can help him.
"Okay," she starts, stopping her pacing and pivoting to face him. Rachel places her hands on his shoulders, "Alright. Okay, you're only have turned. So you still have a chance, you have a choice." More than what she got. "You're going to feel like shit, and it's only going to get worse until you do something. You can make a kill and turn fully, but if you don't want that, there are ways out of this. I'll be there to help you either way, alright?"

⏾ — AND HERE COMES DAVID WITH THE STEEL CHAIR !!
pov i indulge @tearaparts hyperfixation and they indulge my need to for ollie based psychological horror. (starter)
She's been following him since she first spotted him, although she doesn't think he's noticed. Ollie knows it's not him, can dig in his mind enough that it's not him (a present mom and a living younger brother, must be nice), but she can't shake the similarities. And then there's his name...Ollie doesn't know if she believes in fate, but if it is real, this is it, right?
So she stops him before he can run into...anyone else, not physically stopping him, but instead compelling him to her, to hear her. "Oh, you don't want to go down there. Real boring scene." Leaning up against a light, she smirks, "Wasting your night there would be a shame, wouldn't it?"
