Refresh. Just Refresh

Hey guys! Remember the new update we did? Yes?

Ok so we had to do a little trade off. You refreshing every time you post a new flip over Flippy Campus consuming a lot of data to refresh for you. So guess which option we chose? That's right. You refreshing. ^_^ 

What this means is that Flippy Campus is more data friendly now. It doesn't consume as much data as it used to. What it also means is that when you flip, you have to refresh your flip wall to see it. Whiles this doesn't seem very awesome on the user experience side, it saves a lot of data so we hope you agree it is worth it. 

To refresh your flip wall;

Simply swipe your finger down the flip wall.

You will see a refresh progress at the top of the page.

It's been 3 weeks since the pre-pitch competition in Accra for Demo Africa and the student social network app that "improves campus experience by keeping students up to date on current campus happenings", Flippy Campus, has received a significant amount of media mentions for winning.

So here is the question; what have the Flippy Campus guys been up to, and what are they really planning?

Team Flippy has been generous enough to give us a sneak preview on their exploits and what Africa can look forward to on Demo Day in Nigeria this September;

Planning the launch of the Orange Balloon…

Perhaps the most exciting information we are hearing from Team Flippy is their big launch in KNUST, UCC and University of Ghana, Legon in August.

The have quite saucily dabbed it "The launch of the Orange Balloon"

" "The launch of the Orange Balloon" is a series of exciting events in the 3 major universities in Ghana to make Flippy Campus a household name. We are launching in August because we want to begin the new semester with all the freshers and continuing students.” Ammishaddai Ofori, Content Manager, Flippy Campus. "Our plan is to have Flippy Campus in the hands of every tertiary student with a smart phone and make it a part of their lives"

An update that changes campus experience forever!

The Flippy Campus guys are not joking around.

They have promised the release of the new and improved Flippy Campus that is going to take the tertiary schools by storm before their big launch in August.

"We have been silent because we are working hard to bring our existing users an app they can't live without. We have considered all the feedback we received from our existing users and we can promise Flippy Campus is going to be what they have asked for and more" Bright Ahedor, Chief Product Officer at Flippy Campus.

"Not only are we releasing a new Flippy Campus, we are developing it on all the major platforms. The immediate platform to be released will be for Windows, then IOS and finally Blackberry before our major launch in Lagos Nigeria." Chief Technical Officer, Gideon Boateng at Team Flippy.

Expansion plans already underway…

Team Flippy seems to be on fire!

They have already started plans to expand to Nigeria with a launch in the University of Lagos, Nigeria in September. This will be a few weeks before they take Demo Africa by storm in Lagos.

"We are in talks with some big players in the events and communication space in Nigeria for this launch and we are very pumped up!" David Sleek, the charismatic CEO of Flippy Campus.

A lot of partnerships under way…

Team Flippy is strategically using its relationship with the MEST incubator to form strong and strategic partnerships with global brands like; Samsung, Vodafone, MTN, Tigo, DKT International, Innovectives Nigeria, Ghana Web and Silverbird Cinemas to make Flippy Campus easily accessible and usable by students.

"We want students to enjoy Flippy Campus and not worry about data or connection issues. Flippy was built with the students in mind and at Flippy Campus, we want to redefine the ultimate campus experience by connecting students all over campus." - Team Flippy.

So yeah… I guess it’s safe to say the Flippy Campus guys are still grinding.
