I spent yesterday at @rockfieldstudiosofficial recording a live-in-the-studio gig with Quill, featuring Bev Bevan, of ELO, & my long time collaborator Andy Edwards on drums. Playing with 2 drummers is a whole lot of fun. I'd never played with the band, had no rehearsal & had learned the entire set I'm 2 weeks - we all thought we'd have time between tracks to try things out, but then there was a live studio audience so we ran it like a gig! It ended up going really well, & playing ELO's classic Telephone Line with Bev on drums was a proper treat. Gear-wise, I did the whole gig on my @elrickbasses SLC Fretless, & having taken ALL the pedals, just used the @aguilaramp Tone Hammer preamp, @darkglasselectronics VMT & the @moddevices MOD Duo.
