Twilight's big day
Written for Mina's @zarvasace prompt in the for the triforce fic fight
A sigh from time. “Twilight, I really appreciate you taking creative solutions, but isn’t this a little dangerous?"
“Not to me! This baby protects me from the impacts!” Twilight, the one of the group's resident adults and voices of reason, pats the oddly shaped machine with pride in his voice like it were his own son.
It had been a point of distress when, a few weeks prior, Twilight had suffered an injury leaving him with a weak leg, leaving him unable to walk. Time and the others had been watching him carefully for weeks, both to watch over his physical health and mental.
But that wasn’t the problem here. Actually, Time was thrilled he was taking measures to start moving around the way he wanted to again.
No it probably was that that thing was a spinny destruction machine.
“What do you mean!?” Twilight yelled, indignant,”You know I can control this thing amazingly! And it’s not that bad when I crash into something!” To demonstrate, he starts crouching up and down, setting the death machine off.
Time, wisely, jumps out the way as Twilight starts moving. The others do the same. Time trained them well.
Twilight starts zipping down the hillside. To his credit, the machine is perfectly controlled, just terrifying.
But that makes it even more horrifying when he suddenly slams into a tree and rips the whole thing in two. And again. And again and again all the way down the hillside, leaving a drill shaped wake through the forest.
“SEE!” Twilight’s voice comes from far away. “PERFECTLY SAFE!”
Time shudders.
