Rival Base Raiders! - Team Objective Plays Pokemon Emerald
Here's a glimpse of the Team Objective Base. Fully furnished with some desert plant life, a meeting place, and a display for our future plans!
Yes, the floor is still sand. What of it? I didn't have much time to get this done, we have a lead! I remembered the Magma Grunt sat randomly on the Fiery Path...
Bingo.
Magma hideout...aw, dang it, why is theirs so much bigger than mine!? That is not fair.
I've decided to leave the ghosts behind for now-given what Team Magma's used in the past, I doubt they'd be helpful here.
Oh COME ON I was JUST SAYING-
Well, at least some Magma members have taste. This is way cooler than some silly camel.
...Then why, sir, are you wearing a hoodie in a volcano? I've at least dressed lightly.
GROUDON!?
...Oh it's that lizard thing. Why do you care so much about that?
Everyone knows Regigigas tops it anyway. One may be a continent, but the Regi's king literally towed them! Or so it's said.
(...Am I supposed to know who this is?)
It seems we've found our way to Maxie.
There's Groudon and...Maxie? What are you doing? Oh, is this how you awaken your legendary-
why is it blue.
WHY WOULD YOU BRING IT THE BLUE ONE
Oh, don't come at me for your own mistakes! Let's get this over and done with.
One of mine was good enough to defeat two of yours! I know better than to let Magneton fight a Ground type, though.
This is a job for Claydol! By the way, once you're utterly crushed is there any chance I could recruit all your baltoy-using grunts? We have plushies.
You're abandoning it now? ...Dammit, I just MADE a base!
And with that, he's taken off. Maybe given up? Maybe I can finally get back to my true mission?
I always am. Hey, captain person, any chance I could borrow your submarine for, say, an exploration of the bottom of the sea for any more of those strange ruins? Here, I have some already written down-
DAMMIT TEAM AQUA
Give me that submarine, you pilfering pirates! I need it for my own purposes!
Why does Archie have this pile of pokeballs in his office? ...Wait...no, It couldn't be...
ELECTROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODE
And he just threw them into a corner? Ugh. We'll set them free.
None of these Aqua grunts have had anything as promising as that Baltoy. Not even this slightly buffer grunt! Lame.
That's what i wanted to do! These guys are ripping off my evil plans!
Well, with no other option, I supposed It's time to head out to sea. I'll have to find another way to get under the waves-my own pokemon aren't exactly seaworthy. Maybe I will finally find one that can fix that problem.
So I have to...express something. You see staryu? That's a starfish, you might think. But really-does it even LOOK like a Starfish? It's a polygonal thing with a gemstone core. It's not even related to other sea creatures, it's an alien! It looks more like jewelry than any sort of animal!
STARYU IS AN OBJECT POKEMON AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL
Well that was a refreshingly quick surf. Mossdeep, huh? Do they have more submarines here?
No, but they do have ROCKETS! Which are OBJECTS! As evidenced by my very own Solrock, space pokemon are a prime candidate to be object pokemon.
Oh, seriously? They HAVEN'T given up yet? Can't these Magma guys ever learn? And join my team because my earth-based pokemon are so much better than most of theirs?
With no other way forward than just blindly wandering the sea, I think It'd be best to take the next gym before moving forward. The last gym actually have me a hard time-this one should be better, right?
...Right?

The Part Where I Fight My Dad - Team Objective plays Pokemon Emerald
Hello, loyal viewers! Last time we caught a new super special friend! However...
As lovely as this Baltoy is, I'd rather bring my current team along to handle our next objective. The next battle is no place for new blood...
Petalburg city. My dad is the leader here, now. I've been away from family for such a long time, but then I moved back in with mom, only to immediately leave to pursue my ideals...the ideals of promoting OBJECT POKEMON, that is!
...Anyway. I'm just not sure how to feel about this..
...Dad is waiting at the back of the gym. Time to head in. Let's steel ourselves...
PETALBURG GYM, I'VE COME TO...Wait, dad, what are you doing out front. What? My badges? Wait-
Oh
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Fiddlesticks.
Uhhhhhh.
we're goin' back to Dewford
Brawny or whatever your name is, let's make this quick. Family emergency.
OK Thnx bye
back to Petalburg-
Ugh. Stinky, hairy creatures. I never understood everyone's obsession with these guys, especially not my dad's. I never was much into them in the first place, but after I discovered my love of Object Pokemon, he and I became more distant. It had to be because he didn't agree with my tastes.
It must have.
Let's do this, old man! I'll teach you a lesson! About OBJECT POKEMON!
Stop being so happy!
Bulwark, you've been my lead into every gym battle (that mattered) before, and that's not going to change now!
Teeter Dance, yikes. Hit through, Bulwark! Come on!
We hit ourselves once, but now we finally get off the Mud-slap! Lower its accuracy!
It's missed a couple moves by now! Big damage, Metal Claw into Iron Tail! Take it out!
Spinda's done! Nice job, B-oh come on dad, Really? You're switching into your ace immediately?
...Hm. Maybe this isn't a bad thing after all...
Bulwark! Just like before! You know what to do...and Slaking has half the turns to fight back from this!
Dad had just been spamming counter, but now that Slaking's low it's going for Faint Attack...doesn't do much, but that messes with our plans a little. Still, we persevere!
Slow it down with some Rock Tombs, Bulwark!
Now, Goo Goo! Come in and give it some Screeches!
Goo Goo took some hits, but now it's time for my own ace to hit the field! StepStone, come in and defense curl! That now boosts the power...
...of ROLLOUT! Faint Attack did a lot, but with minimum defense even this first should be enough to KO from here...
And it is! StepStone, Rollout into his next sloth thing, too!
Rolling! Rolling! Rolling! You can't stop the rolling!
His final pokemon! Take this last Slash hit, StepStone...
Yes! 5 HP! Now, land the Rollout!
YES! We DID it! My team conquers yours, Dad, with less pokemon used from my side! What do you have to say to that, huh!?
...What? You're just...proud of me? Happy and a little sad-Dad, what are you saying?
You...wanted to understand my interests and you...didn't know how? And I never reached out, so...it just went quiet, between us?
...Maybe I do need therapy.
I don't know what to think of anything right now. Except-my team. I'm proud of them all so, so much. They've really come into their own in battle. They're all beautiful and wonderful Object pokemon. I love them. I know that much.
I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing. Maybe I just need to consider how I do it.
And Dad...I'm sure there's an object pokemon out there for you, too. Do they have Porygon here?

Forecast: Steven! - Team Objective plays Pokemon Emerald
With these two at my side, the oceans and skies can no longer stand in my way!
Hello, loyal members of Team Objective! Last time, we crossed the waves and reformatted the team going forward! This time, we head east of Mauville to finally see what's up ahead.
In the time between, I've gained enough fundings to outfit the team with some TM moves. Wish I had more, but we are...still pretty scrapped for cash.
(...I'll need solid funding if this is to be a serious endeavor...)
WHATEVER! Steven's here. let's see what he wants!
...Steven, you've met me, right? Of COURSE I'm only going to use my favorites! Object pokemon are my entire identity!
Ignore the HM user Marill.
Uh, sure? Will you have better pokemon than birds in suits of armor by then? Gotta say, your lineup has been pretty disappointing.
This jungle is quite beautiful, but really doesn't have what I'm looking for. We're here for objects, not objectively beautiful scenery!
Team Aqua's raining this weather institute! And they just threatened to KILL ME!
Fat chance!
I know I am! You're disgustingly weak!
Team Magma again, too? Heading for Mt. Pyre...I think I've heard of that. It's the local pokemon gravesite, like the Lost Tower back home. If that's the case, it's worth a look...
Wha-HUH? They're giving me a pokemon!?
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY GOD IT'S ABORABLE.
The scientists are filling me in about this thing! A pokemon MADE by science? It's like Porygon! And it manipulates the WEATHER...It's body is made of cells like water molecules! It's basically a living cloud! I love it!
Sadly, my team doesn't really have the space for Castform at the moment. I wonder if Dad would like it? Maybe I'll send it over.
Oh, it's Bozo again. He was really strong last time we fought, quite the roadblock actually-but we've grown exponentially since then! Let's crush him.
Not even worth commenting on. Loser.
HA! I made him mad! Wait, who are you again? Eh, who cares.
This region keeps nailing it with its environments. I don't think I could live in a place where bugs fly in the window every day, though. Give me a volcanic cave or a polluted factory any time.
Let's not waste our time here. We can probably wrap up gym number six today-
...
W H A T.
I...guess we go forward, then?
That pokemon looks even more like a beach ball than marill, but I can tell it's a whale. A mammal masquerading as a fish masquerading as an object. How strange.
Oh, hello again Steven. What's that, you want me to prove myself against...one of these invisible things? Well, that's fortuitous. Still, we've known each other this long and I still have no idea what you're all about other than being the kid of a CEO.
Anyway. I hope this invisible pokemon is a ghost! Maybe it's possessing something cool?
Oh it's a lizard. Whatever. Hey. 'Splodey, wanna use your namesake?
Glorious.
And with that, we now have the means to enter the next gym! Turns out we didn't need Steven's thing after all and the lizards still die if you explode near them. Cool! Uuuuuuunfortunately, I've ran all out of time for today. Oh well. Next time it is!

Object Pokemon Halloween Spooktacular! - Team Objective plays Pokemon Emerald
The gloomy Mt. Pyre looms in the distance...
We're back to a gorgeous reflection of the daytime sky! Honestly, though, I'd love to see the darker side of things. Weird, I feel like I haven't seen it get dark once.
There's Team Aqua. You'd think those guys would rather explore the deep sea than a mountain. ...Could some power be lurking there?
I sincerely doubt the mountain having its own pier is the reason.
So I researched what pokemon can be found in this region's safari zone, and you know what I found? NOTHING! NADA! ZILCH! Well, there are geodude in some rock smash rocks, but other that that NOTHING! Why on earth would this "Safari" zone only be filled with natural animals? It makes ZERO sense! Oh, but the grass right OUTSIDE has object pokemon.
...Wait. The grass right outside the zone has object pokemon.
THIS object pokemon!
That's a PIECE OF CLOTH!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the squad, Zipp! I'm sure we'll find someplace you'll be useful...and, now that I think about it, where there's one ghost, there should be more. Ghosts and objects go hand in hand! There's a word for these objects with spirits-Tsukumogami!
...first, though, that jungle trek was pretty tiring. Let's rest up in the next town over.
See? Team Aqua should be more interested in this kind of nonsense! ...Though, now that I think on it, maybe I shouldn't dismiss this so lightly. I found one of those rock patterns in the ocean, after all.
And fans of object pokemon too, right? Right?????
Contests...I may be a battler, but I would love to indulge in showing off the aesthetic charms of my object pokemon! That's their core appeal, after all! However, I don't know the first thing about contests. Maybe another day.
I guess instead I can see if this department store has any dolls oF OH MY GOD WHY IS HE HERE AGAIN.
L
Oh...my...GOD!
They have dolls of BALTOY!
I've found my people at last! Iris, you have evolved by now, but we now have a cute reminder of your original form forever. Give me fifty!
I was advised against bying fifty and instead looking into means of powering up my team. Thankfully these places sell TMs, too.
We'll have Zipp tag along for now. On to Mt. Pyre!
A chilling, mournful place...I will search it and plunder it of its treasures!
(Those treasures being the pokemon. Don't rob graves, kiddos.)
Ah, DUSKULL! One In recognize! I did see some dolls of it back in the department store. Now, Duskull ITSELF is not an object pokemon, but DusCLOPS is a paper lantern ghost! it'll be another welcome ghostly addition!
That eye looks like it has seen the end of the world.
I've finished exploring the gravestones inside, but it seems there is an outside area. Could any extra spookums be found around here?
...Huh. No, it's a pure psychic bellchime.
I love all object pokemon regardless, but somehow I doubt this one is getting any more screentime on this adventure. We will capture him nonetheless.
Drat, the rival teams have gotten here before me. I have been distracted. But, crystal orbs, you say...orbs are OBJECTS!!!!
(I'm kidding. I sincerely doubt these orbs are alive.)
This lady says they're connected to the 'super-ancient pokemon', though. Another target!
A Magma emblem? What use is this? I don't need another team's emblem, I already have my own! I have no desire to dress up as a Magma member, not even if it was Halloween!
I'll consider what to do later. Right now...honestly, I kind of want to get out of here. This place is starting to really give me the creeps.
Time for some quick training! Allsee and Zipp need to catch up to the rest of the team, fast. Ghost types could be an incredible boon.
...Oh, sure, random trainer, show me the other meteorite pokemon I never managed to find. Laugh in my pretty face. (It's so seasonal, too!)
So Shuppet becomes a doll itself! Cute!!! And there's that paper lantern ghost. No Dusknoir destiny for you, Allsee.
I admit, right now I'm a little puzzled. I need to stop whatever those two teams are doing with those orbs (and reap any benefits for myself, of course), but I have no lead other than this Magma Emblem. Let me think, did I ever see Team Magma anywhere suspicious...?
While I think, I'm going to work on something exciting. Here in the desert I will be setting up Team Objective's Hoenn base! Renovations should be complete next episode. Until next time...Happy Hallowee-uh, I mean, Object Pokemon are OBJECTIVELY the best!

Mountain Climbing and Meteorites! - Team Objective plays Pokemon Emerald
I love drawing my team, I hope you've enjoyed my little doodles as well, loyal viewers!
I skipped this house earlier when racing to the fiery path, but now I guess I can give it a look. Their family is really tough, they say?
Pfft. They were easy. Didn't even use any object pokemon! Kept going on about their son, though. I'm sure he's just as washed up as the rest of them.
Ooooo!! A proper interview? Well, I couldn't deny a chance to promote my cause...
Ah, magnemite! It looks like they're already sympathetic!
Why can't I have a magnemite :(
So this is the 'Team Magma' Archie was talking about...He needs a meteorite to do...something-
-you know, I've heard meteorite pokemon exist. Is that what they're talking about? Where is it!?
Secret Base!? Oh, Team Objective can finally create a hideout, just like all the other evil teams! I'll just have to find the perfect cave to create mine within...
My interview's already on! Sounds like they're talking me up.
Yes! Yes!! Our strategy is unbeatable! Object Pokemon are Unstoppable!
...Perhaps it wasn't wise to broadcast our skills on live television, though. We wouldn't want our opposition to get wise to our antics...
...
I have no comment. This area is just beautiful.
Meteor Falls? This must be where the meteorite pokemon Team Magma was looking for is! I must find it immediately!
A SOLROCK! Oh, it's simply gorgeous. Those chunky rays, those eerie eyes, as if it's squinting out into blinding sunlight...I'll call you 'Sungaze.'
Modest...surprisingly, I don't hate that. Our team has a lot of physical attackers already. Sungaze leaning more into the special side of things might be a good idea.
That being said, I've heard Solrock has a special-oriented counterpart, but haven't seen sight nor sound of it at all. Perhaps Team Magma already took them all!?
Or Team Magma just wanted a normal meteorite. Oops.
Team Aqua appeared, and now Team Magma's taken off to do...something...at that volcano we were at earlier. Could this be related to the Titans? I should tail them and not get distracted. This may be important.
Ooh, Secret Base decorations!
Let's make a base here, shall we? This area is beautiful, even if lacking in Object Pokemon...we can consider it, anyway.
With Sungaze's addition, I think Intern's time has finally come. Despite everything, I've gained some amount of fondness for this non-object pokemon...and you know, I've heard stories about a Grovyle that really liked collecting gears. Perhaps they're Klink enthusiasts? Maybe I should let him accompany me to Unova.
What was I doing-oh right, Volcano.
Thankfully, the team's been powered up! Back at Slateport, I saw fit to outfit members of the team with both Secret and Hidden Power. I'm hoping to save up for stronger TMs, but for now, we have no time.
Let's get that Titan pokemon before team Magma even THINKS of touching it!

Mauville Mob! - Team Objective plays Pokemon Emerald
Today, the team grows, in more ways than one!
(Also, as an addition, I've decided to put a team recap into the bottom of every part going forward)
Wally is here...and he's blocking my way into the electric gym??? Does he still only have that ralts?
He still only has that ralts.
Next time, pick up a Magnemite or something, Wally. It'll do wonders for you.
I'd head inside the gym now, but I feel like we still need a bit of prep. let's check out the town.
Oh hey, Rock Smash! Roxanne (She gave me her number btw <3) told me a tip once I could use this HM...we'll need another badge first, though.
Oh, hello, my interview's on! What did I say about Bulwark again-
That is true!
...It was a lot at once, okay? I was under pressure!
There's a game corner here! We have one of those back home. ...Sadly, their doll selection is limited to starters. Shame.
Time to take on the gym! Ah...that electric tang in the air. I hope my team feels this presence one day.
Face me, Wattson!
I see, you are a man of culture! However, I doubt StepStone will have much trouble with her fellow detonator here.
One and done! And it missed its attack, to boot!
And your little dog, too!
A MAGNETON!?...I LOVE Magneton! It's quite lower level than normal. Where can I get one of those?
The confusion is a problem...push through, StepStone...
Oog...We're pretty beaten down, but we've snapped out! Show this man our dedication! Magnitude!
YES! VICTORY!
Oh and you have a bigger dog too. Okay, whatever.
Ok, VICTORY! Ignore that I spoke too soon!
And StepStone has evolved, fully coming into her power! Wonderful job, girl!
I will not be using Golem because one, I'm not sure If I have the means to trade, and two, that is not a rock that is a lizard thing with cobblestone glued to its body.
With our new hidden machine, it is time to head north. I can see the cliffs rising around me already...this bodes well.
A desert! ...That I can not progress into, currently. Weh. There looks to be interesting structures within...
Another cave! And this one appears volcanic. Perhaps I shall discover firey, earthen objects inside?
...No, but instead, I found Koffing! I understand you are a ball of gas, friend, but what are you doing in a volcano? Should you not be in an urban environment? Oh, no matter, welcome to the team, "Skybomb!"
Grimer, too? You have even less of a reason for being here. Are you alright? Do you need someone?
Wait, I'm someone! Join us, "Goo Goo!"
Side note-you can also find Slugma here, and while I would consider it-while resembling a slug, it is made entirely of molten rock-I do want to retain some aesthetics. Also, people would likely not stop making lame jokes.
Now, we need to backtrack to Dewford for a minute...
Back in the darkness of Granite cave, let's see if Roxanne's tip proves fruitful!
It was!
I'll call her Patricia.
Goo Goo is Gentle, Skybomb is Rash, and Patricia is Lonely...decent natures across the board! Glad to fill out our numbers, perhaps soon we'll be able to get a proper sixth.
I will take my leave for now and get these gals trained up. Until next time! Team Objective-because Object Pokemon are Objectively the best!
Stones and Slate! [p2] - Team Objevtive plays Pokemon Emerald
(part 2 of 3 for today!)
Time to leave this beach city behind and advance to our next location-
wait was that a hecking boat
ah, whatever. We have arrived in Slateport City! Now, to investigate this town for any object pokemon of interest...
This man is a fool. Object pokemon arr the only pokemon I need! [Ignore how I just skipped a gym and my team is completely weak to all the water trainers in the surrounding area.]
If only the anchor attached to the seaweed was alive...sigh...
Your doll selection sucks. Where's Nosepass? Magnemite??? BALTOY???
I've decided to investigate this oceanic museum, in hopes it may give me a lead, but the pests known as Team Aqua have beaten me here. Oh well, I don't really care what they do as long as they stay out of my way.
A submarine...a model of what's currently being constructed in this very city? It may surprise you, dear followers, but I actually have some interest in exploring the bottom of the ocean myself...I've heard legends of great giants, kings of their elements, slumbering beneath the earth and waves of this region...it's for those reasons I have come to this region in the first place. I wish to claim these pokemon for my own!
...Perhaps I should be taking interest with this delivery task I have been given after all.
