Prior to joining #TeamiPhone, I’ve owned three LG phones starting from 5th grade (a flip phone, Chocolate, and enV 2) and two Samsung phones (Rogue and Galaxy S) and would always get a new phone when my two year contract ends. I switched phone numbers with my sister when I got my Galaxy S and I’ve always had Verizon, so I never owned a T-Mobile sidekick. It’s sad to say that I never owned the other popular phones like the Blackberry Curve and Motorola Razr haha. I wish I did.. makes me wonder why I didn’t own them. Maybe because I didn’t wanna follow the hype. I actually liked the Galaxy S at first until my dad unexpectedly bought me an iPhone 4S three months later. And I never went back to Android after that. I don’t think I ever will. 

I like the iPhone because the design is simple and iOS is easy to use. I also think the camera quality is better. But I’m not hating on Android users at all -- I actually find it stupid when people argue over which phone is better. To be fair, both brands have pros and cons. Stick with the phone that satisfies your needs and shut up.

What a coincidence. I got my new phones the day before a holiday. What’s next? I get the next iPhone the day before Thanksgiving? New Year’s? Haha.

My 4S is still on iOS 7 and works fine -- I now use it as an alarm clock. My 6 is still on iOS 9 and works fine also except the battery is really shitty. I still use it at home for social media purposes and to preserve my 8+ battery life. It’s great because I charge my 8+ every other day as opposed to when I charged my 6 every 3-4 hours. Now I don’t have to carry my portable chargers around.

When Apple launched the iPhone 8/8+ (which is pretty much the 7S/7S+ if you think about it) and X, I was torn between which phone I wanted to get. I didn’t want the 8 because it would just be like my 6 except in terms of speed, camera quality, and wireless charging. I wanted something different, so I got the 8+. It’s bigger, faster and has portrait mode. With some research and a blog post I came across from a person I follow on Tumblr/Instagram, I set my mind on purchasing the 8+ instead of the X. The only thing I cared most about was battery life and camera quality and the 8+ satisfied me. The 8+ and X cameras are pretty much the same (except front-facing camera has portrait mode in X), and I wasn’t ready to let go of the “home button” just yet. I also didn’t think the additional features were worth the extra $200, even though I think Animoji is pretty cute and hilarious.
