yeonhee might have her moments of not being the brightest bulb in the chandelier (her potions professor could even add to that argument), but the girl was most definitely not the dimmest. with detective skills at a 100 because of all the movies and tv shows she’s watched in the past, even if she’s not able to make easy assumptions all the time, she makes them when they’re due. it’s come in handy for her friendships and she’s proven that much whenever it came to her kind, but at this point more spontaneous friend kang haeun. 

so it didn’t take her a lot to know that koda has been avoiding her. 

she could understand why. granted, if she were in his shoes, she probably would’ve done things differently, but she couldn’t exactly hate him for not wanting to talk to her for a while after that. but it began to affect the girl more than she wanted it to. the junior would always give the girl the amount of attention she would typically beg from him. so the fact that he had decided to stop giving it to her after she figured out his secret of being an... animagus? shapeshifter? whatever it may be, her finding that out after seeing him show up in her bed the next morning as a human being is what caused the drift. 

and yeonhee, resident attention whore, did not like that he was giving her less. 

sure, she could be more eloquent with her steps. but if anyone had her personality and were in her position, letting this pass for a week was already a lot for her. and regardless of the fact that she’d ruin her chances with such a handsome upperclassman like him, yeonhee still took her chances. he was still her friend at the end of the day, so she was determined to find the boy no matter what. 

she makes sure to look at any other place on campus where he might possibly be before reverting back to the main hwaseong common room (to be fair, that was an excuse to bother her friends who were using a practice room to belt out to showtunes rather than focus on the music they had to perform). as she turns around the familiar corner to step into the common room, she spots him. it took her this long to be able to get him alone so that they could talk? GOD it should not take a queen that long to do it for a man. not that yeonhee would complain, as doing the most for her potential love interest seems very much like a main character thing to do.
