2018 Chengdu Tea-house Performance (35) by C & R Driver-Burgess Via Flickr: We went exploring the renovated-for-tourists alleys of Chengdu, where we came across a busy restaurant with a tiny tea-shop theatre above it. We managed to get a table right on the edge of the stage and greatly enjoyed the performance. Our favourite act was this traditional Sichuan Operatic face-changer. Although he had audience members touching his face as he stared them in the eye, he changed his mask with a twitch of his head and none of us could see how he did it!
