Wow! I'm flattered!

I only really started getting into tea three or four years ago, so I'm hardly an expert. I started with herbal teas, as I'm fairly sensitive to tannins and picky about black tea.

It won't shock anyone to know my absolute favorite is chamomile, or a chamomile blend (I like lavender, honey, and an echinacea.) I also like rooibos, peppermint, hibiscus, and ginger.

For non-herbal teas, I like a variety of greens and whites. I source my whites from Yunnan; it doesn't do well in tea bags, but the bricks are a nice, convenient size.

I actually source a lot of tea from Yunnan. I am a pu-erh drinker, and I think that if you have the budget, this is such a fun way to expand your tea experience. I do it in the gong fu style, which is kind of a time sink, but I love the meditative nature of it. It allows you to experience the tea as it blooms and grows with each steep, and that gives you a real sense of depth of flavor. I absolutely appreciate tea more now that I've experienced a wide range of fermented teas.

I don't really have brands that I like, other than Yunnan and a few locals. (There's an earl grey that I'm wild about, but it's a blend made in house at a very, very local shop to me, so I can't share it without essentially giving out my address.)
