He lets out a long sigh. Darn, now that the kid mentions it, nachos did sound pretty good right now... He sucks his bottom lip against his teeth, hands resting on his hips.

       there was something unsettling about the maze. something about the whole thing being constructed by people who’s unaware building something that will destroy the town will emit that kind of feeling. no matter what, lucy wasn’t entirely EXCITED to be in there. and NO MATTER WHAT, she would find herself going inside as the mission needed. it was easy enough to get around, however. just gotta maneuver around the sleepers, remain in the shadows, out of the lucids way... record evidence and bim bam boom ! all done for the night.

      she could do without the voice chewing in her ear. it was a bit hard to ignore -- every time her eyes close, the voice rings LOUDER. could anyone else hear it, or was she just BLESSED with this wonderful ability ? she wasn’t going to ask. she’d probably feel bad if some of the others do.

“ hAHAh, don’t get worked up, he says. Tha-hat’s a good one, I gotta write that down. ” Came the sarcastic response, arms thrown out on either side while the space traveler continued walking. As if to drive the bit home, Rex pulled a notebook out from his vest and scribbled something down, before closing it with a dramatically loud clap, tossing it to one of his many velociraptors that gleefully caught it in it’s teeth.

" I do? " Macaque laughed lightly. The irony of that statement... He was no stranger to being the target of mockery. Usually, the mystic did what he could to just ignore it. But then again, these days he was less of a pushover, and more of a pushbacker. That's what Liû needed to be, he thinks. It was just her and her father, and Jiàn wasn't always gonna be around to defend her...

      there’s a sad look on her expression as rex looks at her. lucy felt... ashamed of herself. she felt horrible. if she had known what her actions and her words were affection emmet -- perhaps she would have done things differently. really LOVED emmet the way he deserved instead of this hardened fantasy she was creating. she thought she wanted to emmet to be more MATURE, but -- that wouldn’t have been him. this wasn’t the guy she had known. she didn’t even know who this was anymore. did emmet still even EXIST in rex still ? lucy wasn’t sure. she doubted rex knew either.

       hmm... there SEEMED to be some underlying meaning with the other’s words... but to be honest, emmet wasn’t really sure WHAT the other could mean. after all -- if the construction worker THOUGHT properly, it made sense, right ? this all started with his weird dream he had... and now rex was here to put a STOP to it ! wow, he was smart !! all those years being an awesome guy really put things into perspective ! he wondered how much longer until he gets hardened into a cool guy that the people could admire just like he admires his new MASTERBREAKER mentor !
