The reason I was suspicious is because Turtle On Turtle has become extremely touchy and controversial since the fandom got invaded by the anti-shipper cult, who actively went around making death threats against writers and artists because they tried to equate "mutant turtles" with "real humans" and were unable to reconcile the "teenage" part with the "they're turtles and they age in canon and they don't age like humans and have we mentioned they're turtles" part.

Okay. See. There's been a scary, dangerous mindset of: "we're anti and since we believe fiction directly influences reality, these fantasy creatures mutated via unknown alien mutagens are just like real people, and we can assign moral taboo values to them that make little to no logical sense, and we say that anyone who writes about them having sex with each other is evil, perverted, wishes to see incest in real life, and must die in various horrible ways, including having their kneecaps devoured, stepping on spiked Legos, getting an axe to the chest, being beheaded, being poisoned, etc, because the emotional attachment we personally have to these fantasy creatures extends to hoping our self insert OCs will be with them which can't happen if they're with each other"...

...to which the older members of the fandom respond, "okay but have you heard of polyamory, pansexuality, and imagination? it's all the rage. also, it's fiction, they're turtles, and they're mutants borne of alien goop. And not real."

Plus, canonically, they're on the asexual spectrum. (and at the end of the last unfinished volume of Mirage, pansexual Michelangelo had sex with an alien reptilian princess who laid eggs that may or may not be Mikey's.)

The "brotherhood" part was always about clanhood, because it wasn't said if the four turtles came from the same clutch. In the wild, turtles will fuck each other anyway, and in some TMNT fanfiction, the guys have mating seasons. There are no rules. It's a great mix of urban fantasy and "well, uh, biology probably doesn't work like that but that's why there's unstable alien mutagens involved. Time to get weird."

However, none of that matters to the cultists, who respond with alarmism, accusations, and fear. Even now with asexuality headcanons everywhere, there is this bizarre kind of gatekeeping over of all things mutant turtles fucking each other. That was a weird sentence to type.

So, mentioning tcest on Tumblr in the last few years is a toss up between "do I feel like dealing with shrieking angry people between the ages of 14 and 29 who are creepily invested in all the wrong ways in complaining about the fictional sex lives of alien mutant turtles" and "this is such a weird wild thing to write about, but holy shit what a beautiful psychoanalysis of endangered monsters and aliens and the story itself is epic and heartwrenching awwww it's adorable"

And despite what antis like to say, no "tcester" has ever pressured anyone to read their stuff, because they're respectful enough to know it's a weird niche, and you know what if I find out that someone did, I'll fire them out of a cannon into the sun, because the second rule of fanfiction is "tag your fics" IE "for the love of squick, warn for kinks and slash" - there are authors out there who don't, and it's really disturbing. Hatred of tcest is fine and good to know! Hardcore threats against fans of it is ugly, nonsensical, immature, sophomoric, and bratty. What I've discovered is that anti-tcesters are disingenuous and predatory and will go to lengths to harm artists while proclaiming moral superiority, and that's probably why I saw your question as bait.

People's art is for themselves, not to cater to you. It's not a betrayal.

So long as they do what they can to keep their content out of the main tags, and away from minors and trauma survivors, then they are FINE. If you knowingly bypass all warnings, infiltrate their private accounts, etc, THAT'S ON YOU.

I agree that these sort of things should NOT be on the screen when the target audience is children. But if they made their ship content in a separate space that was private, and you knowingly went in and exposed yourself AND OTHERS to that content? You are the bad person here.

These people made private accounts for their safety, as well as yours. They DID NOT WANT to expose their work to anyone who could be hurt by it. No harm was done until y'all started calling them out for what they do IN PRIVATE.

If you're wishing death on these creators, bearing them ill-will, or want to put their jobs at risk, you're a bad person.

Raph slowly smiled at her suggestion, his thoughts briefly drifting on memories they had shared before in the tub at her old apartment. He nodded warmly, his hands releasing her as she stepped aside to draw their bath. A faint groan escaped Leo’s throat as he shifted his stance, his feet were on the floor but his ass was propped against the sink. A slow grin turned from the corners of Raph’s mouth as he leaned forward gently nibbling at Leo’s cheek. As bad as he tried, Leo couldn’t keep a straight face to save his life. His eyes darted to Em’s in the reflection of the mirror, a boyish grin shining through as he licked his lips trying to regain his focus. “It’s not funny Raph” he chuckled upon the but-end of his words attempting to tuck his neck farther away from his brothers teasing teeth.

“What? Ya don’t wanna take a bath? Hmm? It’ll make ya feel better.” Raph pulled him closer gently helping him from his place against the sink, his fingertips lightly tracing the darkened skin on Leo cheeks. Leo’s hands softly slid to Raph’s cheeks as they shared a luscious kiss, their bodies pressed tightly against each other as their lips parted. Leo let out an involuntary chuckle as he looked towards Em who had seemingly taken her perch on the tub to capture the moment. “You BOTH are going to drive me crazy. Both of you.” He shook his head shaking Raph off with a smile as he made his way towards the tub. “Ladies first” he cooed extending his hand to Emerald before gently helping her into the tub.

The leader hummed as he submerged himself and leaned back. “I’ve never taken a bath before. Donnie needs to install one of these” he smiled gently pulling Emerald against his plastron. “Ya know what’s really good in tha bathtub? Food. An I don’t know bout you two but I worked up an appetite” Raph chuckled as he pounded but ass naked out of the bathroom making his way to the kitchen. Leo let his eyes fall onto Emeralds, his finger tenderly tucking away the strands of wet hair from her face. “I consider myself really lucky you know” he nodded towards his brother’s direction. “But nothing compares to how lucky it is to see this beautiful face again” his hand cupped her cheek gently guiding her into his kiss.

Emerald felt her heart swell as his beautiful blue eyes met hers. His strong hand guiding her face towards his for a kiss. She followed immediately, wanting to taste his lips, mouth, tongue on hers. She hummed gently to the feeling. His body behind hers as his hands moved up and down the curves of her waist.

"Leo, I'm the lucky one..." She sighed, turning to face him as she straddled his large thighs. "I have missed you both so much and to know that you both have each other in itself is beautiful but to know that you're even willing to invite me into this makes me feel so loved and special..." She felt tears start to well in her eyes as she became overwhelmed with everything. The intensity her body just overcame and now the intense emotions she was feeling. She never knew she could love two people this much but, she did. "I love you so much..." She said softly as her breathing hitched in her throat... Shaking her head to herself. "I'm sorry, it must be the wine..." She said with a small chuckle. "Ignore me..." She said, sliding a little away from him as she tried to wipe her tears from her cheeks.
