Anyway. I've been trying to think of sth similar our boy Jack can-do-no-wrong Abbot would be capable of doing, because why wouldn't I wanna make myself more depressed...

I imagine he wouldn't even notice he's doing it, but he'd been married for so long, he doesn't remember to treat his gf as her own person: He buys you a dress you wouldn't be caught dead wearing, but his wife always wore that style so it's the only one he's really familiar with. He buys you the same perfume his wife used. Not because he wants you to smell like her, he just doesn't know perfumes all that well and he likes the scent. He encourages you to get a specific hair style, not because his wife had her hair like this, he genuinely thinks it would look good on you. Robby asks why he would take you to the same restaurant he used to take his wife to, but it's a great restaurant, why wouldn't you wanna go there? He used to do this specific hobby with his wife and would like to pick it up again, surely you'll also love it?

And his therapist tells him he should consider re-decorating his home, putting away some of his wife's belongings, but he keeps everything as is. You don't mind all the pictures on the walls, but you wonder if you're sleeping on the same side of the bed as she did. In the same sheets. On the same mattress. If you asked to leave some of your things here, would he give you one of her drawers? Or empty out one of his so hers can stay untouched?

He has so little time for you, too. You ask him if he'd consider cutting down on his SWAT shifts, so you can see him more often, maybe even when he's not running on only four hours of sleep. Or if he could take some time off so you two could go out of town for a long weekend. You don't even care at this point if he takes you to the lake house that you've seen in so many pictures. And he is genuinely sorry that he doesn't have the time, he'll even sacrifice more of his sleep for you, but these people need his help, surely you understand he can't just abandon them?

Sorry this got a little long, not a request, just...spreading my melancholy, I guess >.<
