it was 10 years or more ago when I fell into the Outlast fandom, hard, and beside drawing weird stuff and discovering Tumblr for me I also started reading fanfictions for the first time ever

I’m pretty sure that the first eddie x waylon fanfic I have read in english and not in my native language was the amazing work To Be Well by tenuous

I randomly remembered this fanfiction some weeks ago, and booiii I am so happy and grateful that this story got completed - by far the best piece of art I have read in this fandom, I love everything about it. Masterpiece.

So here is my little tribute/interpretation of Eddie Gluskin within a Post-Mount-Massive universe, I want this sick man to recover and I want him to seek redemption - I am fangirling so hard again lol down down the rabbit hole..

Mermaid doesn’t shed tears much but she still cries (just no tears come unless she’s really, really going through something. Maybe pregnancy hormones could be an exception 🤔) Either way, Azriel would quickly learn her tell tale signs of being upset. She’d take one look and immediately recognize it’s not what she wanted. But she’d still take a bite, hoping it would taste similar only to be met with disappointment. She wouldn’t be mad, just sad. Az would catch on to her friend and ask “what’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” she’d lie with a sniffle, shoulders curling in together.

Az would be like 😟 because obviously something is wrong and do his best to comfort her. A moment they’d both laugh at the next week lol.
