Woods Part 4 (Chromeskull x Reader)
Your chest felt tight and everything around you seemed to be in slow motion. Spann’s offer rang in your mind. People rushed around, preparing to bring Chromeskull home. Die or join an organization that murders as its business. Living would be very nice, but could you live with the weight of human lives on your conscience?
Before you even realized it, you had been shoved into the back of a limo. Across from you sat Spann typing away on a tablet in her hand and Preston, who from what you could guess, was trying to kill you with his stare. Preston was seething that you had managed to live through the night. He was hoping to find his boss with a piggy dead at his feet. How did this little piggy manage to live, how is she sitting in front of him, he wondered.
Under his stare you found that your muddied feet were far more interesting than anything else. You could almost hear your heart beating when Spann's calm voice broke the silence.
“We still need an answer. Work for us or you become the product.” She said. Preston let a small cocky chuckle pass his lips.
“She’s just a piggy. There’s no way she could deal with what we do” He said leaning back in his seat. “He should just kill her like the order said” He continued, apparently he had said something he shouldn’t because you could hear Spann give the man a swift smack with her tablet. You could feel what you think was anger bubble up. Something about what Preston said made you answer Spann's question
A determined “Yes” slipped past your chapped lips causing Preston's head to snap towards you and Spann's lips to twitch up into a small smirk. Preston was about to open his mouth when you cut him off.
“Shut up Preston” You say firmly. The man in question looked taken aback and maybe slightly offended. He saw himself as better than the woman sitting in front of him. Spann on the other hand was loving this.
“To be clear you’re agreeing to work for Chromeskull's organization. Correct?” The sharply dressed woman asked.
“Yes I want to be a part of his organization” You clarified and made a point to glare at Preston. The man huffed and looked outside the window. While he threw an internal hissy fit, Spann had texted your answer to Chromeskull.
You didn’t know why you had said yes, maybe it was that you couldn’t let that annoying Preston be right. He just didn’t deserve to be right, especially after calling you a piggy. Being alive was a clear sign that you weren’t considered a piggy to the organization anymore. Your (eye color) eyes glanced at Spann. She was still calm and collected, something about that helped you relax. Something about the only other woman you’ve seen in days being the calmest person you’ve seen in the same amount of time was very calming. The car fell silent and you managed to relax as much as you could in your situation.
An hour passed and finally there were signs of civilization. Whatever this organization was, they definitely knew how to go off the grid. A smile crept onto your face. This was promptly demolished by a black sack being pulled over your head.
“Don’t panic” It was Spann’s voice. This was not very effective.
“oh Waa waa shut up little piggy! You-” Preston had leaned in close to you and out of instinct you blindly kicked and it was a hard kick. He was sent backwards into his seat and color drained from his face as he silently screamed. Somehow, with a sack over your head, you had managed to land a direct blow to Prestons nether region. He had both scared you and invaded your personal space so you didn’t feel very badly for your actions. You had no idea that you had kicked him below the belt but that didn’t matter. You were just glad that you couldn’t feel his breath anymore.
“Behave Preston. (Y/n) we can’t show you the location of the offices just yet. I hope you understand.” Spann spoke up. Her words were kind but her voice was cold. Hesitantly, you nodded. For the rest of the ride you sat in silence.
