I don't vote party lines, never have. I won't vote for a Dem just because they're a Dem, or a Rep or Lib or Soc or whatever. I vote issues. If you espouse what I feel strongly about you get my vote. And while I am unlikely to ever vote for a Republican again, the point I was making is that this bullshit bigoted shit has to stop. I don't care what party they belong to, they need to stop ridiculing and trivializing people's personal lives to obscure a lack of platform and engender votes based on hatred or fear of others.

Ok, tumblr ate the question off of this the last time I posted it, so I’ll try again.  Ann Leckie’s Ancillary series!  It is quite, quite good so far, in a different way than the Paradox trilogy is.  There’s an excerpt of the first Ancillary book at the end of the 3rd Devi book, if you want a taste!

ID Card photos are the worst. They never light you right, they always insist on a blank face, it's the worst. <3
ALSO, this one involved a camera that was lower than I was so it was pointing up at my chin. But still. I feel like an ugly duckling. Except I’m already grown up. So I’m actually just an ugly duck.
