Thanikos

Free Space: I've been thinking about this for the past few days before this ask and I'll be honest my favourite kyrian overall is probably Thanikos and I don't even have a good reason I just like him >< I am attached to this kyrian for reasons I cannot identify

Back in 2020, high school me wasn't that focused on the lore but I have this thing where genuinely kind and brave characters who risk their lives to protect and save others just hit me so hard and I fall in love with them (I'm emotional and cry watching movies/tv shows bc of this all the time). And in SL Thanikos kinda came out of the screen and smacked me bc I couldn't do the story until I recovered

Legit got traumatised when this guy that was so kind and brave got turned into a bone wraith and we were forced to kill him 😭 it was horrifying to me and broke my heart, I was so sad I don't care if I met him twenty minutes ago he did not deserve that, I want to spend more time with him *starts crying again*

He might have cursed me because now every time I get to Temple of Courage I can't bear to watch the cinematic bc I know I'll cry. I love your art of Thanikos and all your headcanons for him plus everyone else too bc THEY ARE ALL SO GOOD I LOVE THEM ALL I WANT TO BUY YOUR BASTION ENCYCLOPEDIA

Tariesh

Free Space: I'll be honest I see NPC Tariesh and my Tari as two entirely different people and it's in the sense that I don't think NPC Tariesh would ever act like Tari (be a silly idiot half the time and dress in a way that definitely gets him a ton of uniform infringements) but if I talked about him I'd be here for another essay

I wanna draw NPC Tariesh out of pure spite of myself bc I think I ruined him in a way that doesn't do him justice at all + I want to learn how to actually draw chains & render, to me if NPC Tariesh existed irl he’d probably want to drag me into Torghast and chain me forever for ruining his image and being unhinged

Cephan will always wonder why Tariesh did what he did. Never to be comforted by the answers.

Devos

I could litterally write a dissertation on Devos I am totally normal about her she's only my fave WoW character like ever. So yes I have 1,200 hc about her because we know very little about her and unfortunatly very very unlikely to ever get anything more on her. The beast unleashed is me acutally when I see her I get a little feral.

I hate saying everyone is 'wrong' about a character because she is media and thus no one can really be 'wrong' with their interpritation techincally. However, I have defenatly seen takes that just make me go, did we meet the same character? Skipping over the down right mysonanstic takes calling her a 'crazy bitch' etc. It's wild to me that people assume Devos is abusive? Like even before the forsworn, the constant takes that they probably beat aspirants at loyalty was crazy to me because people wanted Kyrians to be evil sooo bad. Instead of seeing the message that these devine looking beings are just human who made mistakes. I have discussed in the past I don't vibe with 'Devos was right' because I feel it dumbs down Bastion's conflict and ignores that while Devos was not an evil person she had flaws such has being overtly headstrong. (I'm a kill joy who never vibed with xyz did nothing wrong, like no love them with their flaws u pussy.)

I am still in a state of mourning over her death which is why I've not continued the Bastion story yet, it's less sadness and mor WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT. THAT WAS SO BAD. I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THE FUMBLE.

Unfortunatly for everyone I got the justice autisum and I fucking hate characters not getting their comeuppance. (See Nikolon never facing any form of punishment.) Devos does not escape this, because I think she got off easy with death. She doesn't have to face any of the fall out of what she did because she died 2 quests in. Like nah nah I want everyone she loved to watch her fall and break, I want her to watch as the Archon replaces her, I want her to see Lysonia die and know it was her fault. She's not living out of a good end she's living to face the music.

Eridia

Eridia falls into the same group as I didn't super care about her till I learned about the Alpha Vesiphone lore but since then she's become a baby girl. I give her my parent issues (me and my mum are on much better terms since I got back from uni but this was like dealing with my childhood. Because Vesiphone isn't an abusive parent but defenatly in that ball park of has her own issues lets take it out on my kid like high especations.)

I've seen people hate on Eridia too like how can you she's litteally a kitten? Though tbh I've seen people hate on Kleia and that should just be illeigal.

I think Eridia goes though so much and unfortunatly I never feel like she gets any justice and I kinda wanted to reflect that. She's sorta just cast aside and almost shunned like she's supposed to figure everything out herself and has no support in cannon. (Legit Uther gives her the most normal support and he still makes it about himself.)

Tariesh

Deep sigh, so Tariesh is basically why I'm hyperfixated on Kyrian. I saw them at the 20th aniversery event and was like woah these guys fuck, so then I played SL maw intro and saw this guy and was like WOAH THESE GUYS FUCK!!!!!!!!! Their aestetic is on point and say what you want about the Maw the aestetic is actually on point (ahah.)

The reason I shipped him with Cephan is because he shows up when you clense your memory which I thought was weird like idk if they planned to use him more since his va was Nathanos'. Like there where multiple mawsworn kyrian why not just have 'mawsworn kyrian' it felt weird it was spesifically Tariesh which got me cooking.
