#tapas tour

First visit since our first meet up just before Covid lockdown, after knowing each other “virtually” for years, Rogene (aka Maribel) and Phil are back in town. We had a couple of great food and wine filled afternoons, a “Tribeca Tapas Tour” and then Phil’s birthday lunch at Barra Baja. Good times!

Today I did two of my favourite things… met up in person (first time) with someone I’ve known on social media for years and went out on a Tasting Triana Tour. Amy has been a Facebook pal forever and so when she and her husband Bill made a return trip to Sevilla they decided to look me up. And omg what a fun and delicious time we had. In fact we were having so much fun that we went into overtime…

The day after our epic meal at Cañabota I took the Renoir boyz out for a Tasting Triana Tour. A market visit with jamón and manzanilla followed by a visit to three bars and plenty of walking around. Aside from Frank it was their first time in Triana so it was a FULL DAY in all kinds of ways. Food, drink, experiences… and tiles! Good times.

So it’s been a fun month, getting back to my beloved Sevilla Tapas Tours – even had a Sevilla Sherry Tasting last week! – and it’s all been great. It’s still very poco á poco, with restrictions slowly being lifted and all that. Of course this also means the greedy Tour Whores are out in full force, trying to cram large groups into small spaces, many of whom copied my tours but forgot the most…

THIS. When you take out two couples who don’t know each other (one from Toronto, the other from London) on a Sevilla Tapas Tour and then two days later they WhatsApp you with a photo of them all tapeando together in Triana with your List. It’s not just a job to me, you know?  ❤
