Well, close enough. I actually chose June 7th as her more-or-less birthdate as when I took her in (Sept 2011), thinking she was maybe 6-8 weeks old, the vet said she was closer to 3-4 months, just tiny from being malnourished in the street. Suffice to say she has filled out since then. Below are some pics of her the first weekend I brought her home. Happy Birthday my Lunita! 🌙💙🐾

What an absolute delight this is! Someone had mentioned it on Bluesky the other day and I wasn’t sure because it’s not really my favourite genre, but turns out it so smart, funny, suspenseful and clever that it’s completely won me over. Introducing Mildred! No, not mine, this tiny nugget is the latest member of Victor’s cat family in Málaga. Incumbents Harriet and Gingerbread are still not sure what to make of this precious girl but I’m sure they’ll be getting along in no time. Soooo cute.

This was fun! The second Gastrogarden Fest was held this past weekend down by the river so I met up with Jeanine and Fiona and we had a delicious afternoon together. Very impressed by the line up of top restaurants participating, and also those involved with cooking demos in the events room downstairs. I didn’t actually make it to any of the demos or wine tastings, but will certainly plan to next…
