What an absolute delight this is! Someone had mentioned it on Bluesky the other day and I wasn’t sure because it’s not really my favourite genre, but turns out it so smart, funny, suspenseful and clever that it’s completely won me over. Introducing Mildred! No, not mine, this tiny nugget is the latest member of Victor’s cat family in Málaga. Incumbents Harriet and Gingerbread are still not sure what to make of this precious girl but I’m sure they’ll be getting along in no time. Soooo cute.

This was fun! The second Gastrogarden Fest was held this past weekend down by the river so I met up with Jeanine and Fiona and we had a delicious afternoon together. Very impressed by the line up of top restaurants participating, and also those involved with cooking demos in the events room downstairs. When I first moved here I had to buy all the various wall and ceiling lamps since the previous owners had taken all their light fixtures with them and just left lightbulbs dangling from cords. But from the beginning I’ve had issues with the overhead light fixture in my bedroom, something to do with it being on a three-way switch, I really don’t know.
