Tanombri, the Stars Stealer
So uh, yeah. Tanombri is my favorite Keno character even though we barely know shit about him right now. I don’t know; I just like a stinky raccoon man who just wants to hoard shiny things. Gotta respect that when the rest of his species is hellbent on killing everything in the universe.
I have been working on this since October, but it feels like this took an eternity to finish. Even with the breaks I took, after a point I was very tired of working on this and just wanted it to be done. Rest assured, I tried my best to not rush the piece.
Shoutouts to Blanket on the Keno server for helping me out with the background a bit by the way(I don’t know if they have a Tumblr sadly). I wasn’t sure what to do for the background, and they suggested I’d make some shadowy shapes on a crimson backdrop, which I ended up going with.
One last thing: I hate begging for reblogs like this, I would really appreciate reblogs if you like this drawing. I worked super hard on this and it’d make me really upset to see this only get 2 or 3 notes.
Ship art? From Tumblr user photondoesstuff/photon-crest-art? Surprisingly more likely than you think. And of course, I’m pretty sure I’m the only one on this godforsaken Earth who ships these two.
I guess I just like the dynamic of “Sauve and playful asshole” and “Super serious doctor who doesn’t take bullshit”? Like, I imagine Ventrava insulting Tanombri, telling him to stop and such, yet never actually doing anything to make him stop (Unless he tries stealing medical equipment, that is). And then Tanombri’s out there flirting and teasing Ventrava about various things, yet he makes sure to never overstep boundaries. It seems like they despise each other on the surface, but deep down they really do love each other (Though I imagine Tanombri would be fairly open about his feelings for Venty, so the hate each other part would be somewhat downplayed).
I mainly just made this doodle on a whim cause the Keno server was talking about ships Tuesday night, and I wanted to dump about this ship that I kept to myself up until that point. Will I make this a “complete” drawing? I’ve considered it, but right now I have other drawings that are a higher priority.
