Were the outer people of Corona told Eugene was Flynn Rider?

In What's The Hair, when Varian says he's Flynn Rider, he jokingly denies it that Varian can't prove it until Varian says he's a fan.

In Fitzherbert P.I, Feldspar points out that now that 'now he knows him,' and that he stole boots from him.

These two scenes make it seem in the citizens case, they weren't told/meant to know. While Varian's could just be Eugene being used to hiding his identity so the first inclination is to deny it, the fact Feldspar says "NOW I remember you," makes it lean towards he wasn't told who he was before.

Then in the comics, you also had this

Again, hinting no one knows he was Flynn Rider, so the newspaper has to tell people.

Was it possible his pardon was kept only amongst the Monarchs, Guards, and possibly the nobles? (As well as those not stupid that recognize him like Varian)

So, a great deal of our fandom believe, no thanks to the series episode 'Rapunzel Day One,' that Rapunzel would have fallen in love with anyone who saved her. That Eugene wasn't special. They didn't uniquely bond. It was just she was grateful and bonded to the first person she met who showed her kindness and the world, and saved her.

And if you speak against this, people get rabid on social media, coveting their AUs where they think characters are so exact you can just interchange them and they'll have the same ideas, same events, same scenarios. Once more, thanks to that damn episode.

But what people don't realize of that episode is that Cassandra knew the story, she knew about the tower she had been told the events of the movie. So she knew what to reenact, how to play things, what to do and not to do. She didn't go into it blindly like Eugene. Her ideas and treatment were genuine, they were a replay based on meta knowledge.

She was just a part in a play that already happened, following a paraphrased script of events.

But that's beside the point.

There's an anime known as Haibane Renmei, in it the MCs are Reki and Rakka. And in the last episode, Reki tells Rakka to try to hurt her that she only wanted salvation and that it didn't have to be Rakka, there was nothing unique about their bond, it could have been anyone.

This is treated as a TERRIBLE thing to say that wrenches them a part until Rakka realizes she was lying and does save her. This is a line given to make Reki a bad person in that moment.

And yet, it's literally what this fandom is constantly saying about Rapunzel and Eugene. That Rapunzel only needed to be saved, it didn't have to be Eugene, nothing special about their bond, and could have been anyone.

Why is this treated as terrible by the anime?

But this is pushed in this cartoon and its fans?

Movie Eugene says he was an orphan. But series Eugene was shown to be an abandoned baby with no identification.

Apparently these are two different things. An abandoned baby is a Foundling while Orphan typically was a child who's parents died.

So movie Eugene if using the original meaning for orphan in ye-olde times (whatever century it was) would be saying his parents died by saying he was 'poor orphan Eugene Fitzherbert.' If he'd been abandoned as a baby like the series said he'd be 'poor foundling Eugene Fitzherbert.'

Of course, just like the 'fitz' bastard denotation, it's possible Disney wasn't thinking that deep and just used the common word of orphan as a catch-all.

To me, Eugene is a cat more than a dog. A stray cat. Our first scene with him in the movie is him climbing and jumping roofs and walls. Show me a dog that can do that. He has the dexterity, agility, sassy independence and is affectionate on his own terms rather than just a dogs blind loyalty.

He fits the image of a stray cat that found his person (Rapunzel)

I will die on this hill.

So now Disney says the hottest Disney couple isn't allowed to be hot.

If Rapunzel can't be 'too pretty,' what does that mean for Eugene?

Like I don't want the Live Action, but whatever they make it is going to have a lasting impression to the franchise.

OMG the difference is like night and day and I don't know what Chris was thinking. His whole "fathers can do no wrong" in TTS.

In the Fresh Prince episode, every one of the family has Will's back and points out Lou abandoning him, instead of like Rapunzel who pushes Eugene to spend time with Edmund because oh boo hoo he's lonely.

In Fresh Prince Uncle Phil yells at Lou, and has Will's back, and honestly IF I were to rewrite the show, I would have the Captain of the Guard be Uncle Phil's place in that (Not Frederic because of the amnesia and if he wasn't amnesiac he also has his millions of things to be accountable for.)

But since the Captain has been changing his stance on Eugene (chooses him as his successor), and had watched Lance and Eugene steal from Corona for years, and grow up to be who they were while being unable to do anything about it due to duties under Frederic. This could have been a turning point if Cap was there to be that voice to yell at Edmund for Eugene, and also would have helped bleed into the Cassandra thing. Cap made a mistake with hiding things from Cassandra, by helping Eugene and calling out Edmund he'd see his own mistakes, which help the turning point of seeking out his daughter.
