Hi there! Okay so yesterday we had a weird rule thing nobody was sure about. Braids (black braids) was out and also had tangle wire. Can the opponent tap down first and THEN sacrifice one of the tapped lands? Or does the owner of Braids and tangle wire control when the opponent sacs and taps?
If the same player controls both Braids and Tangle Wire, that player chooses the relative order of the triggers, and thus will likely have the opponent sacrifice for Braids before they tap for Tangle Wire.

Hi, I just played in my first vintage event and boy do I have a lot of rules questions. If my opponent has tangle wire with 3 counters in play and I untap, say "draw," get a yes from my opponent, and then draw, what happens? It was ruled that since it's a mutually detrimental trigger it has to happen, I was given a warning for failure to maintain game state, and my opponent was given a GRV. How would you have resolved this? Thanks :)
Your opponent missed their trigger and shouldn’t have been able to resolve Tangle Wire’s effect. Tangle Wire’s tapping ability is a parallel effect, so it’s detrimental for your opponent on their own turn, but not detrimental on your turn. The judge should have given you the option to put the trigger on the stack if you wanted and no penalty should have been issued.
Also, Failure to Maintain Game State should never be issued for a missed trigger, even if the other player receives a warning.
Assuming the situation is as you described, then the judge made the wrong call here.

I was mortified by the prospect of becoming hopelessly trapped in someone else's story.
