I got sick. And outta nowhere. Then I had to work 2 nights, then deal with assignments due right after. It sucked. . But there is just something so humbling about getting sick. Not being able to get up and do what you want to do. Or NEED to do. Feeling like crap in a body that’s not fully functioning, so all you really have is what’s going on inside your head. That gives you a lot of time to think, especially when you’re just in bed, going in and out of sleep.
And I mean, there’s nothing you can really do to fix it, you can’t force your body to get better. You kinda have to just go through with it. The coughing, the countless tissues to blow your nose, the fatigue. Ohhhhh the fatigue. You gotta let your body just go through it’s battle even if it means being inconvenienced and behind in your daily commitments. But I’m thankful. I’m forced to take a break. And this is a physical sign that my body is LITERALLY telling me to slow down, reminding me to not forget about myself. Cause if I don’t take care of myself, how am I gonna take care of others?
