Books Read in 2017: Beginner’s Guide: Love and Other Chemical Reactions (Talking Nerdy #1) by Six De Los Reyes
I had lead myself to believe that I was undesirable, and I designed the filter with the goal of proving myself correct. It was confirmation bias. I knew that if I set up unrealistic standards under the guise of compatibility, I would end up with the conclusion that I tried and failed. This seemed to me a more acceptable end result.
I feared no one could ever love me. That I was not emotionally and mentally capable of the load-bearing weight of loving someone else.
