what if taemin meets Krystal again like 20 years later? Like at first she reacts kinda badly realizing the neighborhood boy never grew up but then they talk and taemin compliments her bc she's so pretty? Love ur headcanons, I hope you have a great weekend uwu
this is super old and i donât know if i ever said what would happen if taemin from vamp au ever met krystal again, but sometimes i think about it and it goes something like:
One evening when Krystal is 25-years-old, sheâs walking by the park near where she used to live as a child. She lives not far from there now, just the next town over, and sometimes she likes to walk through the park to get to the shopping center on the other side. Tonight, though, after all the other children have gone home, she sees a small boy and man coming into the park.
âThirty minutes, Taemin!â the man calls out. âNot a second longer!â
âI canât hear you, Iâm playing!â the boy shouts back as he climbs up the jungle gym.
Krystal feels her breath catch when she sees the boyâs face, because he looks exactly like the same Taemin who used to live down the street from her - the same Taemin who put a ring made out of a dandelion on her pinky when she was six and said he was going to marry her one day. She had loved Taemin, and the two would play together all the time when they were younger. She never saw him away from his house, though, and after she turned eight, she stopped seeing him altogether. They still lived in the house, but she never saw him outside. She never saw anyone.
She doesnât realize sheâs walking over there until sheâs standing in front of the jungle gym and calling out his name.
âTaemin?â she says.
The little boy turns to her, his head snapping as he hands grip the railing a little tighter.
âThatâs your name, isnât it? Taemin?â she asks.
âHow do you know my name?â he asks, his eyebrows furrowing. Itâs a very peculiar movement for what appears to be a five-year-old.
âDo you know who I am?â she asks.
âNo.â
âMy nameâs Krystal,â she says softly.Â
Taeminâs eyes widen, and his mouth opens and closes a couple times. He stares at her for a moment, and when she asks if he remembers her, he nods his head just barely. He sucks his bottom lip into his mouth and chews on it before he gingerly climbs down so heâs standing in front of her, and she kneels down and smiles at him.
âHow are you still so little?â she asks.
âItâs a secret,â he says quietly.Â
âHow old are you?â she asks, moving her hand to reach out to his hair.
âLike, a hundred-somethinâ,â he says, and thatâs when the man shouts for Taemin and comes running over.
âYouâre not supposed to talk to strangers,â he hisses to the boy as he grabs his arm.
âJjongie,â Taemin whines, pulling at his arm, âsheâs not a stranger.â
âThen who is she? How do you know her?â Jonghyun questions him. âCome on, weâre going home.â
âSheâs Krystal!â Taemin says. âSheâs my Krystal!â
Jonghyun looks at her for a long moment before bending over to pick Taemin up and telling Krystal to follow him. Once heâs sure that sheâs walking back to the house with them, he calls Jinki and tells them that they have a bit of a problem.
âSheâs not a problem,â Taemin cries the phone, trying to pull it away from Jonghyunâs ear. âDaddy, sheâs not a problem!â
Jonghyun hangs up when Taemin starts crying, and he wipes the tears away with his thumb and clicks his tongue.
âWhy are you crying?â he asks softly. âWeâre not going to do anything, I promise. Weâre just going to answer some questions she might have. Donât cry.â
When they get into the house, Jonghyun takes Taemin straight into the kitchen and sits him on the counter.
âYou havenât had breakfast yet, what do you want?â Jonghyun asks, opening the smaller fridge.
âB,â Taemin says, a pout firm on his face.
Krystal can only stand off to the side, staring in confusion as Jonghyun sighs and takes out a red packet from the fridge and then squirts it into a sippy cup he takes out of one of the cupboards. After screwing on the top and giving it to Taemin, he picks the boy back up and puts him back on the ground.
Taemin, one hand holding his cup up to his mouth, goes straight to Krystal and takes her hand to try and lead her into the living room. She doesnât budge, though, and instead asks what heâs drinking.
The nozzle of the sippy cup slides out of Taeminâs mouth, and he turns to look at Jonghyun.
Thatâs when Jinki comes into the kitchen and goes right to picking Taemin up and bringing them all into the living room. Taemin whines the whole way, especially when Jinki sits on the couch with Taemin in his lap and says that itâs only the beginning of the night and already heâs causing problems.
âItâs not my fault,â Taemin insists.
Jinki just pushes Taeminâs hair out of his eyes and tells him to finish his breakfast.
Jinki spends a very long time explaining to Krystal about what they are and how Taemin is still the same little boy she remembers from her childhood. To say sheâs shocked or freaked out would be an understatement, but the worried look on Taeminâs little face makes her push down her own fear as much as she can. Jinki has explained that they wonât do anything to her, that theyâre not going to harvest her for blood or anything, and that they would never turn her into a vampire unless she explicitly asked for it.
She spends the night with them, because she can tell that Taemin probably needs a real goodbye from her, and so she lets him show him around the house and all his toys and books and things. When they get to his room, Taemin takes a toy off of one of the shelves and holds it out to her.
âI want you to have it,â Taemin says softly. âSo you remember me.â
âOh Taemin,â she whispers.
Itâs a little stuffed dog with long, floppy ears. It has black, curly hair and big brown eyes, and Krystal canât help but think it looks just like Taemin.
âI couldnât ever forget you,â she tells him softly, and she leans down close to him and smiles.
He smiles back, but then his eyes widen and he takes her hand and leads her over to a different part of his bedroom. Thereâs tons of pictures framed and standing in one of his bookshelves, and he stands on his tip-toes to grab one in particular.
âThis oneâs of you and me when you were still little,â he says, and he holds it up show her.
Sure enough, the two of them are standing in Taeminâs bedroom up against one of the walls, their hands intertwined and a flower-ring on Krystalâs right pinky.Â
âYou can have it,â Taemin says.
âOh no, I couldnât take this,â she says. âThis is yours.â
âThen Iâll make Onew make a copy of it,â Taemin says, and he takes the frame back before running into the hall. âDaddy! You need to make me a picture-copy!â
All Krystal can do while heâs gone is fall onto his bed and start crying, hiding her face in the stuffed dog Taemin just gave her.
âIâm sorry, this must be very strange for you,â Jonghyun says as he enters the room.
âHeâs just still so little,â she says. âIs he - is he stuck like that? Forever?â
âUntil he dies,â Jonghyun says softly. âWhich wonât be for a very long time if I have anything to say about it.â
âIs it hard for him?â she chokes out. âIs it hard to be stuck as in the same body forever?â
Jonghyun hesitates, but he answers, âItâs hard for him sometimes. Sometimes he realizes how old heâs supposed to be and he wants to act older, wants to be treated like heâs older, but a lot of his mind is stuck in that of a five-year-oldâs mind. It can be difficult.â
She just starts crying again, but Jonghyun says, âHe loved you, you know. Wanted to turn you into a vampire when you were little so you would stay with him forever. Jinki talked him out of it, said how it wouldnât be fair to you. He understood - he hated it, cried for days, but he understood. It was the most mature thing I think heâs ever had to do.â
Krystal looks up at Jonghyun with the most guilt-stricken face heâs ever seen on anybody. Itâs as if she knows just how much pain she caused Taemin merely by being friends with him, but Jonghyun knows that he was one of the very few people who saw what Taemin was actually like once he realized he had to let Krystal grow up without him.
âThatâs why Iâm going to have to ask you to never come here again,â he says. âItâs not good for either of you. This has to be the last time you two see each other.â
She doesnât say anything, but she nods her head, and Taemin comes running back just a minute later with a copy of the picture for Krystal to take with her.
âTaemin,â Jonghyun says softly as he kneels down next to him, âI think your friend is going to have to go home soon.â
âBut - but she only just got here,â Taemin whines. He looks between Krystal and Jonghyun before saying, âShe can stay, canât she?â
âTaemin, itâs almost bedtime, and your friend needs to go home,â Jonghyun says. âYou need to say goodbye.â
âNo,â Taemin whines, his lips wobbling. âI donât want to.â
It takes Jinki coming into the room to convince Taemin that Krystal needs to go home, and they all walk downstairs to see her out. Taemin makes sure she has the dog and picture, and heâs trying his absolute best not to cry as she kneels down to say goodbye to him.
âI wonât ever forget you,â she reassures him, pressing their foreheads together and smiling at him. âAnd I will never stop loving you, I promise.â
âI wonât ever forget you, either,â Taemin says, tears welling up in his eyes.
âDonât cry,â she whispers. âDonât cry, okay? Here, I want you to have this.â
She takes the necklace off from around her neck, and she moves to clasp it around Taeminâs neck. He takes the pendant in his hands and stares at it - itâs just a simple, small flower-shaped gold pendant, but it has a little pink gem in the middle of it, and Taemin thinks itâs the most beautiful thing heâs ever seen in his life. Before she can stand back up, Taemin stretches his neck out and kisses her cheek to say goodbye. She smiles at him and laughs a little, and she kisses his forehead after brushing his hair out of the way.
âGoodbye,â she tells him, standing him.
âGoodbye,â Taemin says.
He watches her walk down the steps, and when she turns to wave, he waves back.
When Jonghyun closes the door, Taemin breaks down crying, and Jinki pulls him up into his arms and tells him itâs going to be alright.
Taemin spends that day sleeping in Jinkiâs bed with Jinki on one side of him and Jonghyun on the other, the both of them consoling Taemin as best they can until he falls asleep.
Taemin never sees Krystal again, but he never takes off the necklace she gave him, and everyday he holds the pendant in his hands and wonders if sheâs doing alright.

Relaxe. Mas... Ă melhor nĂłs irmos agora.
Sentia tanta falta dele.
Nossa!
