@emmadelosnardos @tacobellhooks @quotesofhope (re this post http://frannyglassed.tumblr.com/post/143724864926/mmmm-also-today-at-brunch-a-mexican-football-game) i just realized i never replied to any of these, but thanks very much for the kind words gang <3333 i talked to my roommate about this whole thing today, since at present the two of us and two other kids are the only non-white people in our frat (itâs co-ed but still called a frat itâs complicated dw) and also shit can escalate pretty quickly when youâre grossly outnumbered by people who you otherwise love and trust and respect, or at least did love and trust and respect up to the moment when they start joking to my black roommate that howard university doesnât have a crew team because the student body canât swim, or thinking itâs hilarious to speak insanely offensive fake chinese to my chinese-american friend, or joking over and over again that i wasnât born in america.
sorry sorry i super didnât mean to go off on a venting tangent. my friends and i are trying to lowkey coalitionize so that weâve always got an answer ready after being called an illegal immigrant or whatever, and can jump in to help each other. which is a huge bummer, since that shouldnât be necessary when hanging with friends, but there you go. this has remained tangential to the very end, but: thank you again.

his shipping didnât come out of nowhere, it was established way back in tactical village!
I have no reason to doubt you, so I must take you at your word. I will go back and update the post to say it âSeemedâ to come out of the clear blue sky since it seemed that way to me.Â
tonight i went to trivia night at a bar bc Iâm a fucking adult
tacobellhooks said: what do you define it as?
anyone can call themselves queer if they are part of the community that it has been used against. this includes transgender people (tbh I donât know if NB people can identify with it idk if itâs been used against them. I donât know as much on the gender side and Iâm going to be upfront about that in case Iâm wrong here!)Â
as for sexuality, anyone can use it if they experience any form of attraction to someone who is the same gender as them, because the word âqueerâ has generally been used as a slur against these people.  (this includes pansexual people, ace lesbians, etc.) but people who are ace & aro canât bc they donât experience attraction to anyone of their same gender and I think thatâs where a lot of people get confused. Itâs about the history of the word âqueerâ and who it was previously used against.
basically like, has the word queer been used against your label as a slur? yes? feel free to reclaim it! (but you donât have to!! I have friends who donât like it!) no? you canât use it.Â

i cried at the crane scene!!!!!!!!!!!! ty!!!! i get exactly what you mean!!! i love this!!!!! thatâs when i tear up is when everyone comes together
pretty much 90% of that movie made me go "meh" but that one scene made me choke up in the theatre. EVERYBODY'S HELPING. superhero movies need more "everybody's helping" scenes.
