• Higuchi was born in Altus Yokohama and was raised and trained by the old boss of Yokohama after he bought her from vampire traffickers. She is childhood friends with Nakajima Atsushi, a former orphan now adopted student by the old boss.

• Higuchi, trained to be a Bourreau, was sent to Yokohama to kill three people; Nakahara Chuuya, Mori Ougai and Dazai Osamu as they are the ones responsible (according to the old boss) for his death.

• As she is elected as a mafia member she is for some reason nervous. She never expected to not have her Bourreau training be set aside and frowned upon in a mafia. It even got frowned on by Hirotsu.

• At some point she fell for Akutagawa because instead of frowning on her ways he is instead indirectly giving advice not to act too rash. Over time she gets worried for his health and wants to protect him but with the miscommunication the two have it becomes rather difficult.

• Higuchi gets attracted to the blood of two people; Tachihara’s and Akutagawa. Tachihara is someone who she sees as a friend despite hiding the fact that she is a vampire. But for some reason his blood became so intoxicating to her that she can’t resist thinking of drinking his blood. Akutagawa is someone she loves and wants to cherish but at the same time she is hungry whenever he is bleeding. She is suppressing it by eating enough food to not leave her starving.

• How she was discovered as a vampire is in the current arc. When Akutagawa drank her blood she changed the astermite to clean him of Stoker’s ability.
