This might be a dumb question but in one of the flashes when he’s high out of his mind we see another clip of Lestat outside the bookstore when him and Louis are still (?) on the phone. Do you know what Lestat says there? I couldn’t make it out
He says "tabernacle" I believe.
Which is... a reference to how the book is displayed in the book shop. And given how he is flashing back to it while narrating about "law 4" during the fight, it is a direct reference to the way Louis already broke those rules, too, and a hint that Lestat likely said so on that phone call, too.

Time to stop making bricks y’all!
Hear me out! I know this is a weird way to catch your attention, but hear me out.
So I’m reading the Bible in a year, right? And like. Here’s the thing about the Bible. Every single word of it is inspired by God, meaning it all came from Him and He basically wrote it, He just had guys hold the pen for Him. It’s His story.
The Bible is 100% inspired, but it’s not 100% inspiring….right?
I’m not sure anymore. Here’s why.
I’m in Exodus where they’re describing the detail in which the Israelites built the Tabernacle per God’s very detailed instructions. Which shouldn’t be surprising because God is all about the details. The devil is in the details? Heck no, God is.
Anyway! So before when I’ve read this part, like I would get so bored, I’d almost fall asleep. Like sorry, God, but this doesn’t pertain to me, and I’m bored to tears.
Until…
God made me realize today that not that long ago in the story, just a few chapters prior, these people were making bricks. That’s all. They were slaves in Egypt, and they were brick makers. Like. How mundane. How boring. And exhausting. What a horrible existence.
Then God steps into the scene and rescues His people from Egypt. He frees them from slavery and starts the process of establishing them as a nation, and in doing so, He gives them opportunity to discover and use the talents and purposes He gave them.
Now there are people creating beautiful things for God, their community, their families. There are people who are experiencing true purpose for the first time, and there are people who are finding enjoyment in the talents and passions God gave them.
It’s the same way with us.
Every single person born on this planet is born as a slave to sin. We are stuck in a bad place with a very bleak outlook. We’re not meant for that kind of life.
But if we turn to God and let Him free us from our bondage to sin and let Him work in us and in our lives, He can lead us to the purpose He created for us. We can do amazing things, beautiful things when we let God take the lead. And oh how fulfilling that will be!
So. Let’s stop making bricks, huh? Let’s let God take the lead and let Him lead us to our purpose. Let Him show us where our talents and desires lie and let Him show us what a fulfilling life looks like.

Day 11: Worship
“Kneeling before the tabernacle I can think of only one thing to say to Our Lord: ‘My God, You know that I love You.’ And I feel that my prayer does not weary Jesus; knowing my weakness, He is satisfied with my good will.” - St. Thérèse of Lisieux (1873-1897)
