So many DID/OSDD systems have anĀ āinner worldā where you go when you donāt front. Not all systems have one since every system is different. Ours is not that elaborate, but the main part of theĀ āHeadspaceā is a grassy field with forests on either side. We do have a house, which is pretty nice, where we sit around.Ā
There are other realms inside as well, where magic works a little differently. Only the Headspace really works well with the energy.Ā
That being said not all of the system members (alters) practice magic, are witches, etc.Ā So, I respect people and their own beliefs as I would outside.Ā
Zelda practices quite a bit of Energy Magic inside. How does it work? Well see, our inner world seems to have quite a bit of energy around us that we can draw from. Since itās inside, visualization is much easier inside since itās not... outside. Itās not a physical world for us, so itās much easier to imagine energy around us.Ā
So, barriers and wards youāre able to see them inside. Protection spells are more visual, just as you would see them on TV (not really though haha).Ā
As a witch who is connected with the energy around us, we feel the energy inside quite well. That being said, it might not work the same way for other systems, it really depends.Ā
It honestly works the same as it would outside. I get a little dramatic about drawing cards and sometimes the energy just moves the card and Iām likeĀ āAlright, Iāll do it then.ā That being said, I canāt really say much about it since Iām just getting back into it.Ā
Back in San Francisco, it would be just like it would be outside. The cards donāt move, you just go based on which one speaks to you, honestly.Ā
Zelda really likes using charms, Iāll have her talk more about it. Sheās been a bit stressed so sheās been mostly putting her energy into Energy Magic and keeping everyone safe inside.Ā
It seems she made one charm to keep the House protected. I donāt know though...Ā
If anyone has any questions about the system or magic in general, feel free to drop me an ask! Iām happy to answer questions!
