Wie man Baklava macht Natürlich hab ich in meinem Leben schon Baklava gegessen, wobei das letzte Mal dann doch überraschend lang her ist, was aber vielleicht auch daran liegt, dass das letzte Mal wirklich fies süß war. Bedeutet dann auch, dass ich natürlich weiß, wie man Baklava macht – zumindest in der Theorie, denn hängen geblieben ist auch, dass das schon eine ganze Menge Aufwand ist, weil ... quasi Blätterteig von Hand gemacht und das nicht mit gerade wenig Schichten. Außerdem brauchst du dafür auch den passenden Honig und natürlich eine Mischung aus gehackten Nüssen. Wenn man so will, ist Baklava eigentlich eine fiese Mogelpackung, weil es simpel wirkt, aber so gar nicht simpel und schnell gemacht ist. Und genauso wenig simpel ist die Herkunft von Baklava, denn eigentlich weiß niemand, wo der Ursprung eigentlich liegt. Irgendwie so (Vorder)Asien und Südosteuropa scheint klar, aber wirklich genauer wird es nicht – die einen behaupten, es sei Griechenland, die anderen vermuten Zentralasien, die Wahrheit wird wahrscheinlich irgendwo dazwischen liegen. Was allerdings auch gilt: So simpel die Zubereitung in der Theorie wirkt, so fehleranfällig kann sie natürlich sein. Das geht bereits bei der Teigzubereitung los und endet damit, dass man das Werk am Ende nicht ausreichend ruhen lässt. Und selbst damit ist es dann noch nicht getan, denn üblicherweise isst man Baklava nicht einfach so, sondern mit starkem Mokka, Eis und einer Art Sahne bzw. Kajmak.
