I saw a 🐍 in the water, + I still jumped in. 🌊 because of mean girls, I’ve been afraid to make new friends. 🥴about to spill my guts to you🤢 but really though, we hiked a perilous cliff to get through to this magical waterfall + there was a snake in the water, but I felt called to jump in + screw the fear that would hold me back from experiencing the depth of this moment...making it to the waterfall! sadly, I have so many negative beliefs about female friends, I was even questioning my trust in sweet @ohhmyannie as we scaled the edge of the mountains...what if the people hiding behind their fake ig accounts bullying me are the people, I know, love, + trust?! “what if it’s secretly my friend? what if...I can trust no one...?” talk about some fear-based thoughts! trauma causes that. let me explain: since being bullied in third grade for having hairy legs and no friends or later in life for having no boobs (I got chanted at about my flat chest at my own birthday party)... I know, I have some mindset work to do bc I always felt girls were frenemies. in the non-denom Christian world, I was never accepted on any worship team (except for all the unity churches I’ve explored — shout out to you cool, accepting people). guess harps aren’t in the Bible or something...maybe it was my short shorts I wore outside of church? I’ve been told I wasn’t “holy” enough to lead my own Bible study because I like a good cocktail... (look at me now, Susan!) who needs a room of girls when I have a podcast! I never fit in with the cool church girls. It’s fine. I never will. don’t think I want to, at least not anymore. I just want to be around the realest humans. over the years, I’ve had female friends sabotage my career + projects...I’ve been drugged + hospitalized at my own bachelorette party.
