New Work: “Back to School” Postcards! And a very special note lol
This draft has been sitting for a hot minute, but I need to add a note or two before posting. Always need to put myself straight. Someone, please tell me how to stop beating myself up all the time. ANYWAYS. I’m going to try to bust out some graffiti signs. I am proud to say I always have name and word commissions. I am going to invest in some crazier markers and some metallics. Shiny paint always looks great on typography and design-y stuff. I am also def making that postcard set! See? Now... to your original drafted post. Happy Monday! I made some sweet postcards. I like making them from recycled scraps, which is always my favorite way to use mail and hauls. I stuck with the theme "Back to School" and I used lots of neon. I teased all last week about it giving me all the "Saved by the Bell" vibes. So 90's! My favorite one is the "school see" one. That bright orange just made everything pop. I like them as a collection. I need to scan them. I will be releasing that particular postcard as a postcard set in my shop. I am thinking about a little 5 pack...
Also, I love the look of that micron on the hot pink. I actually thought of a few more ideas I really want to do by writing that little card. I'll need the iPad and Fresco but it will be worth it. You know I always have more ideas than I have time for execution but I am going to try! lmao
