ringo starr told a story that when he first arrived in germany he bumped into stuart. stuart took him to a cafe that sold pancakes and bought his first meal 

he was rewarded a postgraduate scholarship in hamburg and he studied under eduardo paolozzi 

after stuart’s death, john hung up a pair of stuart’s paintings in his house, and paul had a paolozzi sculpture in his home 

despite their rocky relationship, stuart let paul use his bass until paul could afford a left handed bass of his own 

after meeting astrid he would ask her friends what all her favorite things were. he wanted to know her favorite colors, films, books, etc. 

he could not believe that astrid was attracted to him out of the group. calling john “the great romeo” and calling paul and george “stalwarts”

he was the member who inspired the “beatles bowl cut”

he wanted to be an art teacher 

stuart would borrow astrid’s clothes as they were often the same size. he’d wear her leather pants, jackets, scarves, oversized shirts, etc.

in 1961 he came back to liverpool to see the beatles perform for the last time. he also went to george’s house and george got “a very good feeling” from him

george harrison said that he really liked stuart and that he was always very gentle

george also said that, unlike john, stuart wouldn't discriminate against paul and him because they weren't his age or attending art school
