@survivormoves gets a second starter because I warned you
She’d been on Octavia’s heels to run inside to see what was going on, scared they were going to shoot Murphy, scared Murphy was going to shoot them, scared Bellamy was already shot. Every option frightened her but the only solution was to know what was going on inside the doors. But as soon as Bellamy had recovered, climbed up the ladder shouting for Murphy despite her and Octavia trying to pull him back, a collective scream went up around camp when the side of the dropship exploded, raining metal shards and dust over the side of camp. Bellamy shoved through the locked door, Jasper followed him up and she ran outside to see what had happened.
Murphy was gone. The dropship was blown apart on one side and the camp was half in a riot. She looked up at the hole only to follow Bellamy and Jasper’s sightline outside the camp.
Murphy. A familiar brush of his hand across his nose and then he was gone, fleeing into the forest. Alone... again. Oh shit. Before her pack-animal instinct could discourage her, she had run to say a single goodbye, grab a pack, and slip out the gate. She’d seen the direction he’d run in but she had no idea if he’d run in a straight line, or veered at some point. She ran until she was out of sight of the dropship, slowing to a trot, then a walk, panting as she looked around. “Murphy?” She called quietly, unsure how to find him without alerting grounders to her whereabouts. Would he even want her with him? Would he think she was bait or something? She hoped not- he still had a knife. “Murphy?” Another soft call, frustration bleeding into her tone. Still nothing. “John!” her voice raised only slightly, peering into the endless forest without a clue where to go.
