Flabbergasted

Je ne sais pas vraiment quoi en penser, cet journée à été plutôt “brouillon” pour moi. Je n’ai pas été intégré et a peine présenter aux collaborateurs. Je suis simplement en relation avec le directeur, Vincent ainsi que Laura, la directrice des ventes.

My son surprised me the other day.  He claimed I'm a but man.  I was talking to him and his sister about someone and was sharing a compliment when my son goes "But"!  I responded; "But What?"  My son and daughter then stated how I always throw a "But" in after saying something positive about someone.  Usually, the but is followed with something on the not complimentary side.  I asked for an example.  My daughter shared I had mentioned how this friend of the family had a beautiful front yard, BUT, the inside of their home always looks like the morning after Mardi Gras.  Well, it does I have to be honest.  My son then shared how mom had asked for ideas for a gift for a friend of the families and you said we should get her something she would use.  But the way she wheezes all the time perhaps a Bronchial Inhaler would be the best choice.  Alright, I said that but I did also state how perhaps we could find one in pretty festive colors.  My kids just gave me the "Sorry Dad, you've been busted look."  I could tell the kids enjoyed sticking it to me.  I figured let them have their fun.  I'll just have them help with the yard tonight.  My next-door neighbor just mowed his yard.  It looks nice, BUT he has so many yard ornaments, Jeez he as more animals in his front yard then in a National Geographic Special.  But you didn't hear that from me.
