2nd #SavageSunday feature: Jim Jenks. Jim worked his way from Hansen's employee to starting the iconic 70s surf clothing brand Ocean Pacific. OP was an essential part of the surfing scene through the 70s and 80s and in 82 Jim signed off on the OP Pro surf contest in Huntington Beach which later became the US Open of Surfing. Jim also co-founded the Stone Steps Invitational Surf Contest which required each contestant to drink a resin bucket of beer before competing. 🤟 After growing OP through the 80s, Jim did what most of us would do, retired and designed an innovative 90ft yacht that could carry his 30ft fishing boat and traveled the world slaying fish and having adventures. In 2017, he was inducted into the Surfing Walk of Fame for Surf Culture. True legend.
